Remember when Tyler Herro had the audacity to decommit from UW and the standard UW fan take was:
“Enjoy riding the pine For four years at Kentucky”
(I loved how they were essentially admitting their future stars would not see any time at a top 5 school)
And now, 3 years later from ditching Bucky, he’s helping the Miami Heat upset the Bucks.
It’s an incredible story.

Happy for the kid. Worked hard on his game. Believed in his ability and went to Kentucky. Now he is living the dream in Miami and playing well against his hometown team.

The video of him dropping 40+ in high school (in front of all the high school Badger fans who were taunting him) pops up in my insta feed every now and again. Always makes me smile.
Schadenfreude is a hell of a drug

Weird thing is every Badger fan I've met likes MU as their second favorite team. Now internet Badger fans are completely different.

Yeah this is like 90% of actual basketball fans who live in Wisconsin. Most cheer for UW and MU, and its no big deal.
It is basement dwelling forum creatures that are actually anti-MU.
FWIW, I hated on the Badgers in college, because it was a big game every year and I had friends from high school who went to UW and we just liked to give each other crap.
Now, I live in Illinois and don't really care or even think about UW. Life is busy and hectic enough, and just keeping up with MU is plenty for me.

Wait! What? There's more to life than college basketball?
I might have to read a book. ;)

Also like a “brotha”:
1. He believes Black Lives Matter, so you’re rooting for a Marxist.
2. He took a knee for the anthem, so you’re rooting for a Commie.
3. He doesn’t use the term “brotha,” which Black folks consider derogatory when used by old white men who would never say it to a Black person’s face.
Hey?
-
Yeah that was a cringe-worthy comment...

Wow! This is so wrong on so many levels.
Stop the hate.

If you listen to Jimmy on JJ Redick's pod (back in March) Jimmy tells JJ that Tyler reminds him of JJ in that he's a "black white guy" and says it's because of how he plays, how he dresses, how he talks and bc he can't swim (which Jimmy admits is stereotypical).
Jimmy & 4Ever are just MU alums walking in lock step about Tyler.
Also, Mom & Pop Herro, get your kids into swim lessons, that's terrible.

Jimmy must not know Tyler's from a 90% White, upper middle class suburb. He can act, dress, etc all he wants but at the end of the day that upbringing is about as classically white as it gets.

So is Jimmy.

Huh never looked up the demographics or where Tomball was always assumed it was some small bufu town.
-
Tomball and Greenfield are fairly similar in terms of median home values and incomes...but Greenfield has half the poverty rate.
My guess is that means most Greenfield residents are 'pretty stable' financially, while Tomball has more distinct 'haves' and 'have-nots.'

and Jimmy definitely came from the "have-not" part of Tomball.
