From the article:

"Was Buzz Williams right?  Is it easier to compete from the bottom half of a power conference like the ACC than it is from the top half of the Big East?"

This argument has been debunked.  When you have a record of making the NCAA tournament five of your first six years with two sweet sixteens and a final four elite eight during three of those years, and yet, you fear being fired eventually -- it is easier to get a contract that in all cases protects you and screws the school in the event of you getting fired -- from a school from the bottom half of a power conference like the ACC, then it is to try and get such a contract from your current employer.

I have to say that I really like how the article concludes:

"Wojciechowski, the former Dukie, knows a thing or two about the ACC and high expectations.  His willingness to take over at Marquette and his efforts on the recruiting trail is a vote of confidence in the Golden Eagles and the Big East."

You really believe MU was in the Final 4 two years ago?  Maybe you should do something other than comment on MU basketball. You are embarrassing yourself.

Nope, I knew it was only an elite eight, I'm scratching my head trying to figure out how I fudged that up.  Thanks for pointing it out.

Yes, because he is the first poster in the illustrious history of Scoop to make a brain-fart mistake in a comment.

How lucky for you that the Light of Perfection has shined so brilliantly on you all these years!

He assumed that once Boeheim dissolves into a cloud of dust in the next year or so, we'll find a reason to vacate those wins.

Just because wojo took the job doesn't mean anything. The guy got a d1 head coaching job and a huge pay increase. Even if he didn't believe in the big east he would be dumb to turn it down.

I think the conclusion is accurate.
