But why.

What are they doing, That 90s Show? (Because That 80s Show went so well...)

EDIT: Oh, they really are doing That 90s Show. And I did not realize until just looking it up now that Tuesday from That 80s Show was also Alex Danvers from Supergirl.

That 70s show is having a spinoff on Netflix. Original cast except for the alleged rapist is back.

Who is the rapist?

I'm in.

I'm really conflicted about GoT because I want to watch it again. But I simply cannot justify that. Re-watching a 2.5 hours movie...yeah, that's acceptable. Re-watching a 70-hour series...just doesn't feel right.

For real.  In the meantime just read the yearly installment that Sanderson puts out in any of his series.

Any "Freaks and Geeks" fans here?

I loved it when it first aired, I bought the complete series on disc to give to my kids, and they fell in love with it as well.  Rewatching it right now on Hulu.

I don't think any other show on TV has perfectly captured what it's like to be a teenager, both the angst and the humor.

And it's so cool to see the works of so many talented people before they became famous -James Franco, Seth Rogen, Judd Apatow, Linda Cardellini, Jason Segel, Martin Starr, Paul Feig, Busy Phillips, Lizzy Caplan and Mike White, among others.  Even a significant number of the single-episode appearance are future stars.

I watched it when it was on, and I liked it, but I don't think I really appreciated it.

On a flight a couple months ago, I watched the first 2 episodes. I laughed out loud about a half-dozen times, and my wife kept shushing me.

I think watching it knowing how successful many of those actors became added to it, but it was genuinely a great show, felt very real.

The dad cracked me up -- everything the kids did wrong was going to kill them.

I'm surprised that the kid who played Sam didn't go on to become a star. He was really, really good in F&G.

Also a little surprised that they haven't re-made it given that they re-make everything!

"Sam" has had minor success as a character in the show "Bones".

But yeah - the show is jam packed with future stars.  In one episode, the school mascot takes off his costume head and it's a 14-year-old Shia LeBeouf.  Check out Casting Director Alison Jones' CV on IMDB.  She can pick 'em.
Have some patience, FFS.

This current young Jeopardy champion is incredible.  She looks like she's 20. and is freaking shredding her competitors.  Extremely impressive and she has great swag.

I’ve actually started recording it. She is 23, and she has an endearing, quirky personality.

Yes she does.  And she's obliterating these people like a D.Wade crossover.  They look terrified, defeated, and have similar reactions to those burned off the dribble.  I hope she continues her streak and I am also recording her relentless domination.  23?  That's impressive.

Too bad she doesn’t understand gambling or she would be looking at a huge amount of money.

I just watched a few episodes but I did see she was conservative on her Final J's.

Not just that. Most contestants play as though it’s a game show. But as the big winners have shown, it is primarily a gambling show.

So true. My wife said, she seems different than the other big winners, she appears to be having fun. 500 large and having a good time is not too shabby.

I think she's great.  She got real lucky early when she got Final Jeopardy wrong, as did the runner-up, but the third place person didn't bet enough to beat her.  (I would never go down in that way, unless the Final Jeopardy category is something like "Opera.")  But she clearly knows her stuff.

But I think the fact that she is the third long-term winner this season (Matt Amodio and Amy Schneider being the others), and the fact that Jeopardy is really pushing how easy it is to take their test now, I think shows they are having trouble getting quality contestants.  Some of the people they have had, like the guy yesterday ("Andromeda Galaxy"...wtf???) are BAD players.

If you ever want to be stupified and impressed at the same time watch the celebrity Jeopardy with Wolf Blitzer and Andy Richter.

I have seen a lot of celebrity Jeopardy episodes, and the contestant that really blew my mind with his knowledge was Poison guitarist C.C. DeVille.

Comedians are usually the smartest people in the room.  Being quick witted usually goes hand in hand with knowing a lot of trivia.

Pretty sure Deville studied at both Julliard and NYU before joining Poison.  So he's clearly a pretty smart guy in addition to having ridiculous hair.
