Interestingly, Favre pretty much side-stepped it in an interview.  He said "I'm not getting into that.  I'm just focusing on the Jets."  (or something similar).  I find it interesting that he didn't basically deny the entire thing.

And until the NFL issued a statement that they are looking into it, ESPN said nothing.  Surprise, surprise...

The rumors have been out there for about 3 weeks, I'm surprised it didn't die.  But now that the photos are out there, well that erected the story back up in the news cycle.   ;)

Its been longer than that. Deadspin broke the story back in August when Favre "unretired".
