MU logo wear in Milwaukee
« on: April 25, 2012, 03:29:20 AM »
I am passing through Milwaukee next weekend.  Need to stock up on some new MU logo wear.  What stores have a good supply of gear besides the campus bookstore?

Looking in particular for a hoodie sweatshirt that simply says Marquette on the front.  The only one the bookstore has is one with that stupid chicken on front.

Also, are there any places in town that still carry Warrior gear?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Good luck.   I was in town earlier this month and literally spent an entire evening out in Brookfield checking every place I could think of and found.....a hat.

by bookstore, I assume you mean the spirit shop.

other than that, you have to be pretty lucky...

Yes.

I assume that the inventory on line is what they have on hand in the store that is in the lower level of the union

Kohl's has a few items, and you may find a few things at either Dunham's or Sportsmart, but the Golden Eagle (spirit shop) has by far the biggest and best selection.

Spirit shop is definitely your best bet.  You will have your choice of at least a dozen hoodies.  I was in there about a week ago and they even had some good ones on the clearance rack.
Have some patience, FFS.

It's not... They went with some outside vendor to run the online store, and I'd guess that 1/2 of what is online is different from what is in store. They have a lot bigger selection at the store.

There is also a WI sports themed store in Mayfair that has some MU gear.  It is mostly geared toward Packers, Brewers, and Bucky though.  I do not recall the name of it, but it is by the food court.

Great store on 2nd floor of Mayfair, near foodcourt. Have biggest selection I have seen. Not sure of name but on northside of foodcourt.

I had looked at the spirit shop and elsewhere online and could never find a simple hoodie until I stumbled on this.  Sounds like it may be what you were looking for.

I have found that different Kohl's have different MU selections.  The one out here in Delafield has less of a selection than I have in my closet.  However, I think it was the one in Waukesha (on Hwy. 18) that had a suprisingly big selection last Christmas.  I rarely go to that store, so I'm not sure if it is like that year round.

I can only speak for the Kohls store in Southridge, you'd be very lucky if you ever found any MU gear there, Bucky, yes but rarely anything Marquette. And JC Penney, forget about it.

My mom is dead.  Thanks a lot.

However, my wife could use a pair.  ;)

How about your mom?
