Your right JJJ will be really good. Just not for Marquette they way his PT is.  15 years ago people had patience and would not mind sitting behind senior, but things change Mox. Nowadays they expect to play from day - especially guy who have been told how great they are since 7th grade.

Then let him transfer.

Buzz will land a stud who is actually ready to play immediately.

(that's how it works, right?)

Because in this day and age if you are a highly regarded recruit you expect to play or you will go elsewhere.

LOL...

JT has outplayed JJJ against quality competition.  Look up the differences.  Buzz isn't going to play JJJ (or anybody) because they might transfer, over a senior who has no other options, even though the senior is  playing better.

JJJ clearly has more potential, and will be WAY better three years from now than JT is now, but JT's experience makes him better.

If JJJ got JT minutes his stats would be better I would bet my salary on it. I think you have blinders on when it comes to DW and JT. Did they nominate you to be presidents of their fan clubs or something?

No, Buzz will land a guy BETTER than JJJ!!!!

If there is one thing I know about fans, they always love the new guys.

In 2 years, people are going to want JJJ nailed to the bench so they can see the next top 20 rated recruit play.

People love new.

People are idiots.

With Thomas leaving and maybe Mayo 50/50, JJJ will have the minutes next year and probably knows it.  Unless Ahmed Hill, who is averaging over 30ppg this year in HS, comes into the equation.  But, he will be a freshman.

Wow.

It has come to this.

The Sultan has been nominated to be President of Jake Thomas's fan club.  I have now seen it all.

Derrick was the best point on the floor today.  Jamil was brutal.  I am looking forward to see the +/- when DW was on the floor versus when he wasn't.  I think you will see a HUGE difference.

He isn't in 7th grade anymore. He will and should have to earn his way. It is a life lesson that will make him stronger and better and the team stronger and better. If he is so used to being entitled that he transfers, then so be it, he wasn't strong enough to be a warrior. No coach should coddle his players, that's ridiculous and a good way to have a program implode.

JJJ is not just another recruit. He's high caliber not a wait till hes a Sr. Type of guy. Unless he was overrated.

Here are a couple players ranked hear him:

Name               Rank   Playing time
Isaiah Hicks    18   9 minutes per game

Marcus Lee      25   8 minutes per game

Zak Irvin         22     17 minutes per game

Jujuan Johnson   27   17 minutes per game

Robert Hubbs    29   18 minutes per game

There are at least 3 players ranked above him playing the same or less.  I didn't go through all the names because it is pointless.  This idea that if you are top 30 you need to be playing 30 minutes is ridiculous...it doesn't work that way.  Outside of the top 5/10 playing time is very hit or miss depending on the players development, team roster, coaching style etc.

Today, Mayo's energy was key in us playing from behind.  We also need Jakes energy/shooting.  Putting JJJ in would break momentum and possibly ruin a chance at a victory.  He will continue to get time as he deserves and as is best for the team.

31 min off the bench. Wow.

As Buzz said hes EARNED the right to start and if he playing 30+ a night as a Jr.
As a Sr he prolly gonna be playing 35+.

As fans were gonna talk about everything..... Including transfer alerts. It is what it is.

So if a frosh bolted we couldnt be surprised.

He should play fewer minutes as a Senior but will likely still start and play majority of minutes as we will have a (hopefully) healthy Duane Wilson.

DW's Roland Rating (difference in +/- on the floor versus off the floor) was 22.  Very impressive.

Todd's was 38 though.  That's an incredible figure!

The lack of scoring is a big concern, but so is the FT shooting. Guess who the opposing team will be fouling in close games near the end.
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind.

No, in reality, he's Buzz assistant coach. That's why he'll never second guess him. He knows where his bread is buttered.  ;D
