Woj is Steve Yoder
Jay Wright is Bobby Knight
If you're going to use UW analogies, we need our Brad Soderberg.

Heck, he'd probably be a better permanent coach than Wojo.

Perez is not a BE-caliber player

Just a completely bizarre situation. Quits Gardner Webb half way through the year with no explanation, transfers to Marquette and is probably the only transfer in the country who said "no thanks, I'd rather sit" rather than a free year of play. Only playing now because he's been forced into action.

Must have had Covid.  I think we need to give him a chance.

We remain projected to lose out (maybe favored to beat DePaul).  Team continues to play and perform like a JV team with three seniors in John, Cain and Elliott, and underclassmen that are completely and totally overmatched (Torrence, Akanno, Perez).

I remain convinced Wojo is not our coach next season (unless MU wants an empty Fiserv next year, or the crowd booing the home team or cheering the road team).

Theo gets a weak flagrant foul call and crickets from Wojo.  Nova gets called for a blocking call 1 minute later and Wright is working the ref over even with a comfortable double digit lead.  Way to go Wojo.

Wish I was as understanding, but there’s been nothing to suggest he had covid. He’s got a bad game and an even worse body

If the reason for keeping Wojo is retention of players, I don't see that argument being helpful. Lewis and Dawson are good,  and DJ can be helpful, but the rest are not BE players. Worst case scenario is those guys flee and we're still stuck with Wojo. At least with Deane you felt like you had a puncher's chance of beating good teams.

The thing is he looks infinitely more comfortable on a basketball court than the entire bench besides Lewis obviously. He spaces the floor well, moves well without the ball, and plays good team defense.  I agree he is not athletic and may still not be in shape.  I’m hearing Covid from my contacts, which is probably worth nothing for what it’s worth.

Rock bottom.

You underestimate Wojo’s incompetence. Plenty of games left to sink lower than tonight.

I could see a player or two leaving the team before the season ends.

Sounds like it's time to get a DraftKings account to start making some money off this dumpster fire.

I am enervated - not at all surprised. The yawning chasm between these teams is astounding.
Often, you see one team better than another and you say if they played 10 times, one would win 8 or 9. If these two teams played 100 games, I don't see how one of them could win even one.

It is an embarrassment. If Scoopers ruled the world, Wojo would already be gone. The problem is that the board, the president, probably the AD, and the vast majority of alumni don't care even a fraction of what we do about MU hoops. The end result of that is, guess what? No end in sight to our long national nightmare.

Tower, do you honestly believe there is any chance that Wojo can still be the long term solution at Marquette? Yes or no.

Have expectations truly devolved to the point where it’s unfair to expect us to not get the doors blown off against Villanova in a head to head matchup?

Honestly hoping there's no Big East Tournament this year.  The conference sucks and we suck.  Take this season out back and shoot it.

I knew it was over when Wojo hit the surrender cobra on the shot just before the half.

Does anyone have the points off of turns stat tonight.  I'm guessing Nova had over 24.
