WSJ - New NCAA Evaluation Tool

Nice Pic of our guys in yesterday's Wall St. Journal.   WSJ is behind a subscription wall but I've attached the link anyway for those of you who are subscribers.  For everyone else, see the attached PDF of the article in question.

Why wouldn't they want to emphasize the last 10? Don't they want teams that are playing well at tournament time, instead of those that may have peaked in January?

I don't like using the last 10 because your whole body of work should be what counts.  In any other sport, your record is your record.  You don't get more credit for winning a baseball game in April than you do in September.

Hobbes:  What's misunderstood about you?
Calvin:  Nobody thinks I'm a genius.

Because conference scheduling is out of teams control.  Last year we played 5 top 15 teams in our first 9 conference games, then didn't play another ranked team until Nova in the BET.  If we had beaten DePaul in Chicago last year, our last 10 record would have been 7-3, but our resume still wouldn't have been good enough for a bid IMO.
I'll stick with my opinion on Gold.  He'll be in foul trouble within the first eight minutes.

Remember when Crean scheduled a cupcake a week before the start of th Big East Tournament?  That’s why not.
Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.
