I’m very bullish on EVs generally but very skeptical of “full self driving.”

The only people doing it are Waymo and even then only in a relatively constrained geographic area (San Francisco I believe).

I’m skeptical because 1. Unconstrained geographic scope strains the model almost infinitely more than constrained. And 2. The chips, sensors, and other hardware necessary to do it aren’t included on Teslas (even ones that they’ve conned their buyers into paying to reserve FSD) and I don’t think the cost of that equipment is tenable on a mass market perspective.

Eg if it costs $50k more to equip a care such that it could pull off FSD, who is going to pay for that just for the novelty of riding along?

Given the events this week, course conditions and the fact that the PGA no longer owns the course, I doubt any majors will be held here in the future.

Nah, it is a major.   The trophy says so.   The rain has rendered the course basically defenseless.  So, it feels like Hartford/Phoenix/Detroit.   If a course is soft and there isn't any wind, you can stretch a course to 8000 and these guys will shred it.

I think 20 under wins it.   I don't know who gets there.

Leaderboard is full of big names. Can Xander finally win a major after knocking at the door? Lots of guys looking to add to their major collection .

The way the course is playing with greens soft it a entirely possible someone shoots another 62 or 63 and posts a good score  early

It’s not a major

It wasn't about hitting the ball first. Its about dislodging the ball from the shooter. If he had lost control of the ball, the subsequent contact on the arm would have been ignored. But since the ball wasn't dislodged, and was still in the act of shooting, the foul was called with the contact to the arm.

It was an obvious foul and the OKC coach should never have called for a review.
We are saying the same thing. Generraly when you block a shot, and hit the ball first. it dislodges.

The same crowd that got mad when a piece of candy stopped wearing high heels.

The same crowd who got upset regarding a pancake syrup mascot.

Have to agree with Muggs here. It was an obvious foul. You have that time-out, you advance the ball and you have a legit chance to tie or win. You give up the time-out for a challenge that had no chance to succeed, and you almost surely lose.
If you get the ball first, you are allowed to hit the arm  on the follow through. That happened earlier in the series. Apparently that didn't apply here, as the ball had not been released yet. We found that out when the announcers went to talk to their New York ref, but the actual ref rudely interrupted and made the call over the microphone.

It wasn't , to me, a 100% a foul until I saw the replay. But the way Tony Brothers had it in for Luka, I thought the cal would be overturned

I would say you're better than that, but, well...

Oh well.
