Title: Justin's NBA Career
Post by: 1SE on May 18, 2022, 01:46:42 AM
Did one of these for Markus and most of us guessed low. How does Justin's career look?

I think Justin is more in like with Jae/Wes. His length, shooting, and ability to score in different ways can let him develop into a long-term NBA player.

Though if he's drafted by Miami, I reserve my right to change my vote because then he'll be an all-NBA guy in a few years.

He’s going to stick around for awhile. He plays with a natural strength that you just can’t teach. His jumper will improve-hopefully at MU next year :-).

He's gonna have to embrace the dirty work like Jae and Wes did.

I think Justin is an NBA talent, but I haven't seen the type of "rip your heart out" competitiveness from him that those two guys had.

Not sure I know right now what type of player he will be able to guard in the pros, not yet quick enough, to small to guard a Bobby Portis type and not
quick enough to guard  Michael Bridges, it will be interesting.

Needs defensive footspeed to be switchable at an NBA guard level. Probably will be a small ball 5 at the next level without defensive improvement allowing him to play the 4. Overall if he shoot well, he can be the supped up version of Gary Clark.

I hope he gets some good advice and defines a role and trains for that role.  Probably he needs to be a D and 3 guy to make a team which means he'll need to work on quickness overall, and especially laterally, so he can guard all positions in a switchable environment.  As for shooting, I believe he can develop a reliable 3 point stroke.

His size alone will get him an advantage, and his ceiling is probably Jae-like, but Jae can guard almost anyone and started as a D and 3 guy.

I've convinced myself Justin can be a Thadeus Young-type player in the NBA. He's a little shorter, but has a larger wingspan.

If so, he will become an extremely rich man. Generational wealth.
