Winner.  Kieger and Wojo should swap jobs.

Great job MUWBB.  Losing their two centers was tough luck but The team went with their strength to move on.

Congrats to the women’s team on a nice win.  They looked so tiny compared to the Rice players.

They are struggling big time to score today and this one looks to be over with Rice's 50-43 lead with about 3 minutes to go.

I am very happy that I was wrong :).  After going down 52-43, Blockton hit a 3 and they continued a 9-0 run to tie it at 52.

Marquette was very lucky Rice didn't win it on a wide open shot at the end of regulation (some kind of breakdown leaving the Rice player that wide open there).

Kudos to Redshirt sophomore Lauren VanKleunen who got the start today due to Rice's height.  She had probably her best game of the year drawing some big charges, putting up a nice point total and grabbing an incredibly key offensive rebound near the end of OT with MU clinging to a two point lead.

And with this win, they set a program record for most wins ever with 27 passing the 2006-07 team's 26 wins.

She did a nice job versus that giant Mulkey. She didn't have much touch around the hoop.

with all their senior leadership, it was the two starting sophomores in VanKleunen and Lott that kept them within striking distance.
Allowed the seniors to step up near the end and contribute in the comeback.

It will if they play like they did against Rice.  But if they can play like they did against St. John's in the Big East Tourney, they have a shot today.

Go Marquette!!!
