Marquette’s defense is peaking at the right time
« on: March 20, 2012, 11:19:42 PM »
Interesting article, http://collegebasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/03/20/marquettes-defense-is-peaking-at-the-right-time/

My favorite part, "in the round of 32 Marquette completely smothered Murray State, giving up only 53 points in 72 possessions. Not only was this Murray State’s worst offensive game since December, 2008, but it was the 3rd most dominating performance by any Marquette defense against a decent team in the past decade."

I never bought into the whole "defense wins championships" thing, but if MU can hold Florida to a "worst offense performance in ____" type of game, then I'm going to start brushing up on my cajun.
Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.
