Don't you know, nobody plays defense in the NBA anymore? Teams in the 90s with 90s rules could've totally and completely shut down this year's Warriors, duh.

Burton was Top 15 nationwide of all players in Pudner's Defensive Value Add...why the hate? It's not like Wojo's team play better defense. Burton transferring was a net negative. That said, he wasn't a Wojo fit.

He's a pretty solid on ball defender and his steal and block stats make him a very good defender overall. He greatly improved from his time at Marquette. His offense is too inefficient. From a PPP perspective, the only offensive plays he was great at were post ups and put backs....which he won't be doing in the NBA. Should have a nice european or d-league career. But who knows? Weirder things have happened.
