Just saw DF at the Nike store in Johnson Creek.I talked briefly with him about a few things.....

He was headed back to the Minnesota after the kids camp and is headed to Vegas for a camp, but most likely headed overseas to play.

He thinks the team will do well with Buzz as their familiar with him and his style.

He was caught off guard by the whole coaching change and felt bad for the older players who have to go thru the change this late in their college careers.

Glad he came to Marquette and wishes he still had a couple of years left.

All in all,he's a really nice guy and wish him nothing but the best in the furter.

He'll look real good playing at the YMCA in the Saturday morning league.

He'll look real good

Not if he doesn't get a new haircut.

That's more then you can say. The closest you've probably ever come to picking up a basketball in any kind of competitive nature is a nerf ball.  ::)

Fitz will be playing overseas FYI.

Not true. I was the leading scorer on the Copus Hall Copulators intramural basketball team as an undergraduate.

Why the shot at Fitz?

What did he ever do to you?

He's a nice kid. He played. He graduated.

Didn't you attend the University of Dayton if I recall?

Welcome back! Were you on vacation?

Wrong on the Flyers however. Check out Copus Hall, yes that was the name of our intramural team, formerly located on the site of the present art museum. Three story old house that was the home of the band prior to its demolition and the band's move to the Varsity. Beautiful old dump with inlaid wood, leaded glass and fireplaces. Best venue for Halloween parties on campus. Ah, good memories.

...and before that, the College of Journalism with Dean Jeremiah O'Sullivan.  Now, those are some memories of Copus Hall.

Yes, on vacation at the lake with the wife and kids.  Tearing it up on water and camping under the stars.  An annual pilgrimage for us.

Incidentally, no way you could be as good at the Dry Heaves intramural team...of course we were of the football playing variety at MU.   ;)
