Thank You
« on: February 17, 2024, 12:07:35 PM »
Occasionally I get PM’s asking about my son Bradley and how he’s doing, and today marks 9 years since his stem cell transplant (from his twin sister).

He’s doing amazingly well, he’s now 13 (soon to be 14), nearly 5’10” (taller than both my wife & I), a great athlete and a 4.0 student. He also now has his first ever girlfriend (which is a parenting stage I was not ready for).

Doug Kyed (Patriots beat reporter) just recently lost his 3 year old daughter to the same type of leukemia that Bradley had (AML). It’s not something we take for granted (Bradley’s survival) and we know we have to work to be voices of support for families like the Kyed’s.

I know I’m occasionally an a hole on here, but the support of the guys/gals on here over the last nine years has been and always will be forever grateful on this end. A sincere thank you, this day isn’t a celebratory day with out all the support from the MU family.

Go MU, let’s get a W this afternoon and have another reason to celebrate today.

Brother Dish:

Kudos to your son and to your family for having the strength to get through your son's illness. Our prayers are that he remains healthy, grows tall and strong (he's already a foot taller than Newsdreams) and enjoys a fruitful life.

My youngest brother (MU-92) was diagnosed with sarcoma shortly after he was graduated from Marquette. He had a year of hell going through surgery and then Chemo but I'm proud of him because he's adapted and has been cancer free for 30 years,

All the best to you and your family!  :)

Your son’s health and your family happiness is far more important than a basketball game. Thanks for sharing the news. That actually made my day.
