Kolek planning to go pro
Mercury, Yamaha, or the new Evinrude E-tec?
Recently found out that walleye population on our lake has reached a healthy level. Knowingly, jig/minnow combo is typically popular, but lake is quite shallow/weedy. Not to mention an abundance of panfish.I have seen a few YouTube vid's of people throwing lure's.Question - Has anyone had success in throwing lure's for walleyes? Shallow? And if so, what has worked?
Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny. Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.
I've had two guides on Tonka tell me that the best way to catch walleye is to fish for bass. So jigs and plastics along the weed line.
Slab gills tonight. Bedding. All released.
Heading back up to AK on Saturday for about 10 days. On Sunday one of our engineers is taking us out on Prince William Sound for halibut and ling cod. Tail end of the salmon run.
Pics required.Got got back from a weekend of great smallmouth fishing. Average was 14, and largest was 19. Yeeeehaaaaa!
Got a couple of charters in March in Ft Meyers. Can’t wait!
Did that in December. Caught a bunch o' Sheepshead and Spanish Mackeral. Found a place in Bonita that cooked them all for us that night. Great time.
My parents recently got a place in St Pete, right on one of the channels. Going off one of the community piers, its some of the most confusing fishing. Huge Sheepshead clearly hanging around the pilings. Big schools of seatrout roaming around. Massive Schnook prowling...but nothing wants to nibble. We found better action at dusk and caught a few gags and assorted rockfish even a cowfish. But none of the appealing beasts hanging around.
Who are you using 83? Going down in April and looking for a charter. Please post how it went when you return.
