That wide open lay-up missed by Jerel...

That non-call charge on Shrek that led to the lay-up and 1...

Trend!!!  C'mon man...you've been huge up until that moment...

The over the back was big and Harrangody could be a bull in a china shop without penalty.

Despite all that, MU played tough.  I still feel good about this team.  ND is 2nd place in the Big east and we were right there until the end.  Can't believe Trend dropped that ball.  Ugh.  So many missed layups, including the uncontested McNeal one.

Time for Seton Hall

Not sure how to feel about this one. I thought for sure we'd get trounced. If you told me we'd only lose by three I'd think that would be pretty good. But it just hurts knowing how many layups we missed and how many 5, 6 point swings we gave up. Blackledge dropping that ball will haunt my dreams for the rest of eternity.... They did show some heart in the end though...

Great effort by the guys...showed some mettle after a rough patch.  Lots of things to point to pro (treys, energy, good start, bench, moxie to come back, boards, DJ's leadership down the stretch) and con (key TO's, last 2 min of the first half, missed bunnies, so many FT's given up, caught in some bad matchups, JM out of control) and external (how can 3 refs miss what every one in the Joyce Center saw IN THE MIDDLE of the court where their zones intersect with that kicked ball?  Note:  I am not complaining about the FT's--that was due to our bad inside match-ups, especially on the road).

My coulda, shoulda, woulda though is on TC.  ND had five players in double figures.  Why did we wait till the last three minutes to press these guys.  They obviously couldn't handle it...and by not pressing we allowed them to get into their game (inside-out, draw shooting fouls).  And, while I am at, I am still burning at that early shot at the end of the first half that led to a lay-up after a stop of action on our end for the FT (that really was the game).

But, overall, I am feeling much better that we found ourselves again.  That was "Warrior Basketball".  Great college game to watch.  We are back!

Maybe if you post the same thing in every thread, people will actually pay attention.

I was at the game today and was wondering about the basket that was waved off in the first half.  Greenwood? was motioning that the shot does not count because of the foul, but the foul was definately after the shot.   No one ever made a goaltending call.

Also, the DJ on the floor call was an intentional foul.  It didn't look like it, but MU had a 4-0 break and Jackson tackled him while he was on the floor.  The intent was there, but the refs didn't have enough guts to call it.
