Title: ND / Depaul
Post by: Newsdreams on February 02, 2013, 01:29:20 PM
ND looks soft, terrible defense / rebounding. Look very beatable seems to me they were way over rated.

Joey Meyer is joining the broadcast team as a guest. Wonder what he'll say...Surprised he is even at a DePaul game

I may catch some flack for this but I think Depaul actually has a pretty talented team. Melvin is always good, Jamie Crockett was a beast for Crete-Monee and a knock down shooter. Brandon Young isnt bad and Charles Mckinney is a defensive stud and the entire team is super athletic. I dunno, I feel like they should be better than they are.

We need a competitive DePaul. If they get their sh1t together they will add a lot to the new conference

Scott Martin out for ND indefintely, with the way MU guards the three that's probably a good thing

It is easy to say they should be better than they are because they are really bad.

I agree. Melvin and Young are very good and it seems like they have some useful pieces. Not that they have the look of a contender, but I can't figure out how they aren't getting into that 5-7 win range. They are just bad.

Depaul players look like they have stage fright.

ND had a great run for about one minute to widen their lead. But the Devils still holding on.

Don't think they're going to pull it off though.

Lots of time left, similar to when DePaul beat us a few years back, just keep hanging around anything can happen

DePaul can grab the lead here. Those ND unis are awful, btw.

There's actually a pretty nice atmosphere at Allstate

Glad MU is playing DePaul at BC

ND is like Syracuse now. They both have only like 7 players.  Get in foul trouble and then it is trouble for them, along with the fact the starters are playing major minutes and tiring at end of the games.

I wonder if ND wants to borrow the bat?

I was thinking the same thing. Not only do they have a crowd but the fans are into it. That place is usually a morgue with more visiting fans than DePaul students. DePaul is more of a commuter school tho, isn't it?

Oh, to reflect upon our 6 1/2 man rotation days.  I much prefer depth.

It's Demon day at Depaul according to my GF they did a bunch of advertising for this game, invited all incoming students and had raffles for alumni to get tickets and had a pep rally before hand.  Rough way to end it though.

I agree, but they just need more experience the core of the team is Juniors.  They'll probs be like St John's in 2011 where they had one great team then everybody graduated.
