Winning Time
« on: August 13, 2015, 09:46:37 AM »
The 4th Quarter of yesterday's game was played with great intensity.  From the comments made by Thomas it seemed like it was 110 degrees in that bandbox of a gym.  Our kids (at the urging of Wojo who was totally hoarse by game's end) reached down very deep and simply insisted on winning.

Sure they're getting to see the Italian cultural treasures.  But make no mistake.  This is a working trip.  And our Warriors seem intent on rebuilding a winning culture beginning immediately.  Looking forward to Saturday's game and the two beyond that.  Then looking forward to Madness, Belmont and Bucky.  Losing last year sucked.  I'm done with that crap.  I sense they are too.

Right after Thomas mentioned Wojo telling the team that it was "winning time" was when I remember Duane really stepping up and taking control of the game with a steal (steals?) and three pointers to put Marquette ahead for good.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Was very impressed by the 4th quarter performance, especially since they landed 27 hours prior and we're likely dealing with jetlag/adjusting to new time zone.

Glow,

You are connected with the Marquette Power Elite. Any chance you can whisper in some ears that Marquette needs to hire Thomas on a full time basis?

A season of "The Golden Bear is soaring through the Roman Air!!" is just what the doctor ordered.

Eddie Doucette, my ass!
