I like our progress.   I am encouraged.   Having said that, who is to blame for this type of collapse?  Honest question.

Players for not executing. Wojo didn't commit those stupid fouls.

Fischer suiting up cost us this game. Worst big man in the conference, and it isn't close.

Well let's see...they are getting all their points  inside...ummm how about a zone (even if for only a few possessions)?? How about some fullcourt pressure, how about SOMETHING different to try to change this?? he does nothing. Give them a different look!

His option is to put Fischer in with 4, put Heldt in (my choice).    Right now, a timid Hauser is the big in the game.  Playing 5 little guys in a zone doesn't work.    Trying to pressure a team that never turns the ball over doesn't work.    The guys on the floor not playing defense and helping is the problem.   Need to match the home team's intensity.    Players aren't doing it.

14-6 in fouls the second half if anyone was curious.

This, a zone will not work with the tallest guy being 6-7 and nobody with any sort of length.

Advanced analytics will tell you otherwise....and that is exactly why stats do not tell the whole story.  Not saying there is a better option on this roster, but that is exactly the problem with this team this year.

It boggles my mind that a guy known for defensive toughness and grit as a player can coach a team that exhibits no toughness whatsoever.

MU taking epic collapses to a whole nother level. Great job! They should be proud

Ultimately it comes down to player leadership.  When you have upperclassmen that are are soft and play with no intensity that is they kind of team you will have.

So they have to out score us by 25 to beat the odds this next half?

...about that...
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

It's not even a slow choke.  Like, you could put some scarecrows out there and they'd maintain that big of lead a little longer.  Doesn't help that the only real team leader is the 17 year old freshman.

Fischer backing down and giving up a real easy layup to start the 2nd half set a horrible tone and it was a layup drill after that.

What a joke!

Fischer, "advanced analytics" or not, STINKS.  Does he even want to play basketball?

JJJ, glimpses of brilliance, overall terrible.

61pt 2nd half for Butler. Yes you can blame both wojo and the players.

People talk about how Crean never made good in game adjustments, but holy smokes I think Wojo is way worse.
