Does pineapple belong on pizza?

For me it’s a hard no, but people I used to hold in high regard feel otherwise. Life can be so confusing.

Not crazy about it personally, but I'm not going to refuse a slice if offered. It can be good. I'm much more adverse to olives on pizza.

Side note, I never understood why pineapple on pizza of all things became a hot debate somehow. Let people enjoy what they like. Half and half pizzas exist.

Like a hot dog, any way you want it.   For me, whenever I can find other pineapple lovers it is a cause for celebration.   But, if there aren't other pineapple lovers, I never force it.   I do fine without it.

My wife hates croutons on salad .. I love them.  So we frequently use the phrase "it's like croutons" to describe a personal taste thing.

I can see how some people love, some hate, pineapple on pizza.   I find it odd the depths of the dislike though, as in, if you have a Hawaiian pizza, you are a freak.

I like fruit on stuff you don't expect.  Like a slice of apple on a club sandwich?  Mmmmm.  Or cranberry sauce on a turkey sammy .. superb.

Have you ever tried apples in a grilled cheese sandwich?

Have some patience, FFS.

My mom eats sliced radish sandwiches. Rye bread, a layer of sour cream, thinly sliced radishes and plenty of salt.

I add a beer.

Im a no on any fruit or veggies. Pile it up with meat and I’m in.  However, I could eat a veggie filled pizza at a get together if that’s all their is. Pineapple on the other hand, might make me stake out a spot at the chip bowl and make that my meal.

The only time i've had apple on a sandwich it has been at some sort of social event where removing it would seem ungracious. Not bad but not something I'm going to order or make for myself. However, 100% of the time the apple has been Granny Smith. Assuming that is the norm isn't that a board violation?

Doesn't that make the rye bread soggy?

This is a game changer. There was a place in Humboldt Park (Chicago) back when I lived there that used to do thin slices of Granny Smiths on a Brie and another cheese grilled cheese. To die for

Apples with Brie is a solid combo.

I use the lager as an accoutrement. It's all soggy in the end anyway.

I'm cool with others eating what they like, and half and half can work with relatively equal preferences. But sometimes that doesn't solve it.

I’ll be 53 in May. I’ve never once in my life had sour cream, cottage cheese or cream cheese. Zero. Zilch. Nevah!

I bet you've had one of those somewhere along the line in grandma's potato salad or something and you never even knew it.

Perhaps this a societal issue that I was unaware of.  I'm not sure where we've gone wrong but this seems egregious.
