Black and Orange Wrappers are peanut butter kisses, also known by their old-fashioned name, Mary Janes.  Manufactured by Necco, these lovely treats were put into jeopardy (allong with SweeTarts, necco wafers and Clark bars) when the factory suddenly shut down last July.  Thankfully, it reopened with a financial assist so we can continue to hate the old-time candy of my youth.  (So hated by trick-or-treaters that the City of High Point, NC "banned" them from being handed out this year.)

My personal most-hated candy is circus peanuts.

If circus peanuts were candy -- they're not...they're packing material -- I'd agree with you.

The usual black or green olives are the red delicious of the olive world.   I'm not a huge olive fan but there are better varieties.

Is it though?  I mean a Payday bar isn't exactly expensive.

Only black olives are disgusting flavorless wastes of space.  I'm on board with all other olives as a delicious snack.
Black olives are merely the least awful of all the nasty, briny olive family.

Agree. Kalamata and other types of Greek olives are much better than typical green or black olives.

Circus peanuts are awful, Clark bars are a gift from the gods (my favorite chocolate bar but impossible to find), the black and orange wrapper/Mary Jane candies are good, but not worth what they do to my teeth.

Looks like a peanut -   Odd orange color -  flavor is banana

Good and Plenty are far and away the worst candy. It's not even close.

Bad, but not worst.  Worst goes to those black and orange wrapped whatever's that - like Sexy SpongeBob costumes - you pray only come out at Halloween.

At least Good & Plenty's come in a sealed box, unlike those whatever's that look like they might've been re-wrapped a dozen times.

Best candy bar ever!!!! Are they still around? I'd order a year's supply if they're available.

I'll take the black and orange things over candy corn and both forever over circus peanuts.

I'll take any olive over all of those. Olives are delicious. Even the worst olive has its place. You all have the palates of children.

Me too. Candy corn is not my favorite, but it isn’t that bad.

My least favorite “candy” has always been black licorice. How can they even treat that vile stuff as candy?

I like black licorice, but stay away from the European salty black licorice Salmiakki or Salmiak.  Ammonium chloride, ouch!!!

Candy is gross. Except chocolate candy which can be acceptable. This time of year I enjoy a chilled, not frozen, Fun Sized Snickers.

Black Olives are beyond gross, though I believe my position on those thing was due to a horrible experience with them as a child. It involved me thinking leftover black olives in black olive juice in a glass in the fridge was a Coke.

The olives at Mariano's and Whole Foods that are marinated in chilies are delicious as are the Castelvetrano variety. This I believe.

So you began drinking this “Coke,” and started getting a mouthful of salt and olives?

Yeah - that might be playing a part.
