Best chocolate chip cookie you ever had?

Home made ones beat any I have ever had anywhere else.  Mrs. Fields probably for mass marketed ones.  Chips Ahoy are terrible.  Someone else said Doubletree, and they are very good.

Hobbes:  What's misunderstood about you?
Calvin:  Nobody thinks I'm a genius.

There's nothing wrong with Chips Ahoy. Can second Doubletree though.

When I drove LIMOs at Marquette one of my neighbors worked there, would always pick him up and he'd always have an ample supply of Doubletree cookies.

Yeah when my wife makes the perfect chocolate chip cookie, there really is none better.

And anyone who puts nuts in a chocolate chip cookie should be shot into the sun.

In my mind, the only correct answer to this question is homemade.  If you're of a mind to make'em, try Alton Brown's "chewy" recipe.  https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/the-chewy-recipe-1909046  There are none better.

Seriously, I know a guy who puts ice in his beer.   I mean, the first time I saw them floating there, I figured it was a mistake, or I dunno, super warm beer and someone desperate.     But then I saw it a 2nd time and it kinda broke my brain.

Nice try, Mom

If you can't put them in the smoker or on the grill, you know these guys aren't making them.

Also, I have a Mrs. Fields cookbook that has a good recipe, although she says for the record that it isn't what they sell in the stores.
Have some patience, FFS.

The best chocolate chip cookies are a chocolate chip cookie served with a side of BACON.

The second best is Sweet Martha's. Ma and JB, you know better.

True... almost that time!

Right outside Orchestra Hall they have food trucks seemingly all day for the next few weeks.. one of them has hot corn on the cob and I love it. Very difficult to resist.

Sweet Martha's. Hands down. No competition. Pretty sure she bakes cocaine straight into the dough

EDIT: I swear I wrote this before reading RC's post. I'm a better Minnesotan than JB and I haven't lived there for 12 years!

That is definitely not okay. If you need ice with your beer, put the mug in the freezer first.

When a frosted schooner is not available, this is acceptable. Ice on the outside or inside: No difference.

Anyone ever put salt in their beer to give it more of a head, especially when the draft lines are flat?  Also, remember the days when taverns used to offer hard boiled eggs with a beer?

Boilermakers any one?  Drop that whisky shot glass right into your draft beer to foam it up and give your lager beer a little kick.

Nomad World Pub...shot, beer and a butt?

Depends on the nut.

Pecans - yes.

Walnuts - no

Macadamias - maybe.

1. Warm Beer
2. No Beer
3. Beer With Ice

What’s the lesser of evils?
Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

My grandmother used to put a packet of sugar in her beer.

She has been gone for 25 years, but I still have not recovered.

No beer...because you can always have some bourbon instead.
