See growing up in Illinois, you don't grow up associating the color red with UW. Avoiding red is hard in my family. Have a ton of Blackhawks stuff and since my sister goes to Illinois State, I get some new Redbirds apparel every Christmas.

It never occurred to me not to wear red. It's basically a generic color.  It's not like it's University of Tennessee orange.
Have some patience, FFS.

Ok, turning to fashion.

Can any of you dudes wear red?  I refuse.  About the closest thing* I have in my closet is a deep maroon sweatshirt I got at Niagra Falls when I want to pretend I'm Canadian.

UW has poisoned that color.

* not including shirts stained with Arby's sauce.

March 1976. Marquette is in the Mideast regional. MU and Indiana win on Thursday night setting up a clash between the #1, undefeated Hoosiers and the #2, once beaten Warriors on Saturday. I was living in Houston at the time and after work Friday my wife and I drove to the LSU campus in Baton Rouge, La. Partied with buddies from MU into the wee hours and after maybe 4 hours of sleep got up to ready myself for the game. My wife had packed for both of us and to my horror my "clean" shirt was a red polo. Wore last night's shirt to the arena and bought a Marquette sweatshirt there. I've been packing for myself ever since - maybe that ws part of my wife's plan all along.

If the St. Louis Cardinals didn't off you of red, you're doing Chicago wrong.

Is there an age a guy is too old for Hoodies? What about flip flops?

Only reasons for flip flops or sandals of any kind on a guy:

1) you’re Jesus
2) you’re in a public locker room / shower (nh)
3) you’re into fellers
4) you’re in between bball games at a tourney
Thanks for ruining summer, Canada.

Nah, Packers have always been public enemy 1A for me with the St. Louis Blues coming in second. Haven't really despised the Cardinals ever since Pujols left, but Molina sure tries his best to make up for it.

Balderdash.    Wear what you want.     I live in Teva's and Merrell sandals 6-7 months out of the year away from work.

You want to show off that sweet pedicure you got as part of your monthly barber deal.

It takes getting used to. The woman who I go to had to yell at me the first 3 or 4 times because I showed in closed toe shoes.

What do you wear to the beach, wingtips?

By the way, I can promise you that Colorado river guides running up the Bright Angel in Tevas are 5 times more 'real men' than 90% of scoopers.

I've put a lot of thought into this today.

I'm just gonna say it:  I do not like sprinkles on cupcakes.  They add an odd hardness to the frosting and add zero flavor.  Yes, yes, they are aesthetic, but so what.

1) I love flip flops and I fit none of BJ's parameters.
2) I love hoodies and I'm over 24
3) sprinkles are the bomb man. Put them on anything and they are delicious!

You can come in closed toe shoes.  You just have to decide whether you are going to walk out in those disposable flip-flops they use during your pedi, or put your shoes back on and risk messing up your nail lacquer.

I hate frosting on scones. Why the hell do they do stuff like that? I have a sweet tooth, but there's a time and place for everything. And the place for frosting is NOT ON MY SCONE!

I was doing some stuff outside the house over the weekend, and smacked my little finger with the handle of a shovel. Now I have one of those blood blisters under my fingernail.

Red hot saftey pin, burn a hole in the nail, put pressure on the nail to get the blood out. It's great relief

Just had it done a week ago after a soccer game went from barely able to walk to walking around Rome in 2 days. It's such a great fix
