I know there are several Southwest Airlines fans on this board. Are recent events going to make anybody here avoid them?

February 27:

https://www.cnn.com/2018/02/27/us/southwest-flight-fire/index.html

An engine on a Southwest Airlines plane caught fire Monday morning during a flight, forcing the aircraft to return safely to the Salt Lake City airport shortly after takeoff, CNN affiliate KUTV reported.

The flight's pilots, who were en route to Los Angeles, conducted an emergency landing, said Nancy Volmer, a Salt Lake City International Airport spokeswoman, the station reported.

Passenger Crystal Bangerter was taking her first flight ever when she saw "huge flames just coming right out of the engine."

April 17:

http://www.businessinsider.com/southwest-airlines-engine-failure-terrifying-emergency-landing-2018-4

A Southwest Airlines flight was forced to make an emergency landing in Philadelphia after one of its engines suffered a major mid-flight failure.

One passenger died as a result of the incident, National Transporation Safety Board chairman Robert Sumwalt said in a press conference.

Today

https://www.cnn.com/2018/05/02/us/southwest-flight-957-unplanned-landing/index.html

Southwest Flight 957 from Chicago to Newark, New Jersey, made an emergency landing Wednesday after a window cracked, passengers said.

The flight was diverted to Cleveland, Ohio, after a report of an issue with a window aboard the aircraft, Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Elizabeth Cory said. It landed safely at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, Cory said.

Well fudge. I just bought two flights on SW for may and June. Grrrreat.

I’m flying next week to Vegas, it’s been on my mind but they should be going over every little detail on all their aircraft.

Yeah, I wouldn't be too worried.
Unless they ask for passenger volunteers to help with the inspection.

Until more than 50% of SWA flights have problems, the odds are still in my favor.
Have some patience, FFS.

Not to mention .. the chances of 4 bad things happening to SWA is higher than 3.

I wouldn't want to fly on another airline right now .. they are running on borrowed time.  SWA is pre-disastered.

In conclusion, Arby's.

Kinda begs the question of which is more safe: making it to the destination, or diverting due to a mechanical....

The cranky old barber that I have been going to for 15 years closed up his shop for two weeks because he's taking his wife to Europe.  My wife's been telling me to go to her salon for years, so today I did.  Holy hell was that awesome!  I was the only dude there, but I got my hair cut, washed and dried for only $10 more the old crank charges.  How did I miss this?

On the downside, I smell more like eucalyptus than any koala around.

I made a similar switch several years ago. The place I found even gives me a shoulder massage.

And I like the smell of eucalyptus....

Found this on the YouTube.  It's a commercial for Arby's 13-hour smoked brisket.

The commercial is 13 hours long.

Which means it's exponentially better than a baseball game.

Well, when you are only charging 4 bucks for a sandwich, and you sell millions of them a year, I doubt they have their chef go over to the local artisanal butcher store to hand select the briskets.
