Good day for the league

Three close games. Providence is in great position to seal an at-large bid tomorrow. Xavier is in, probably out of Dayton, and can improve their seeding tomorrow night. Would love a Xavier-Providence final.

Looking pretty good for 4 bids at this point.

We'll get four.

Pulling for the Friars.  Cotton and Batts deserve to go to the tournament.

I'm rooting for whoever wins the PC/Hall game to win it all.  Let's put four in the tourney.  Four is respectable.

Love the optimism. Nova/Creighton were already locks. X is now a lock. Providence probably just has to beat Hall to go dancing.

4/10 ain't bad. 3 of the remaining 6 probably end up in the NIT.

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

Very.  Big East will continue to grow (with or without expansion) and be one of the top basketball conferences in the country.

I mean really, did anyone catch Louisville's destruction of Rutgers earlier today?  How about the lights being turned out at the ACC tournament yesterday?  Big East will come out of the conference tournaments looking pretty good - regardless on the number of bids.

Whether we get 3 or 4 teams, we need the teams to rack up several NCAA wins to give the conference credibility. That is why I was glad to see Georgetown lose, becasue they were going to lose in the first game anyways. It is also important for the conference to do well in the other tournamnets. It is kind of hard to argue that the Big East is a tough league, if they flame out in post season.
