Mentioned in other thread.   If I was Minnesota, I would rather have the 4 #1s  that Houston offered.    However, they traded him to the East.

More and more convinced that offer was never real, at least how it was portrayed publicly

Quite a few nab teams view late 1st rounders as negatives.  They force the team to give a player a mandatory contract as opposed to a 2nd round pick where the contract is not mandatory at all.

the big issue was that the #1's couldn't be in consecutive years. What good does trading your talented malcontent do when you can't reap all of the rewards for eight years?  Minny wanted players back.

I hope Butler flames out in Philly.

That's a weird thing for a MU alum to hope for. I understand not liking the guy (I personally haven't been a fan of pro-JFB either) but to wish failure upon him seems like a strong reaction.
