About ME, and the rookies.
« on: July 20, 2008, 12:01:30 PM »
Hey guys I am new to the site, but I am also really excited about Marquette this year. Many of you know me as the big, black guy in the front row with my two roomies (boxer boys) in the student section. I just want to say that I am so excited for MU Basketball this year. Kinda makes me happy to be a 5th year senior for Student seats again! Anyways down to the nitty gritty:

About our rookies: I have talked to 2 of the players on the team Lazar Hayward and Cubillan, and they seemed to have assured that 2 of our 3 freshmen players are pretty solid! Joe Fulce and Jimmy are supposedly looking really good at the Open gyms with the vets and old grads. I have class with our new freshmen and they seem to be high-spirited, nice young men. Chris Otule, is kind of like an Ousmane to the game of basketball, so they have alot to teach him. But his spirit is willing so I am hoping for the best. He is a really nice kid though, but that doesn't say anyting for me about him on the court. I have already told him, "if you are our big man, then I am expecting alot from you and will be shouting at you all the time from the stands!!!!" i told him he better beef up and play tough.
That's all i have for now, if there is any more updates please feel free to send me a message, facebook, or email.

PS. just in case my buddy's uncle falls through, is there any other cheap Tennessee VS Marquette tickets out there?

Nice to have you here Avery.  I am also very excited for the upcoming season and I think our seniors and a more  experienced Lazar can lead us far into the NCAA tourney.  Thanks for the updates on the rooks.  I also think that Fulce and Butler are going to be able to provide some off the bench, especially since we have very few players who play their position at 6'6 or 6'7.  Keep being one of our craziest fans at the games, it's always fun to watch haha.   :D

Whats up avery???? Remember me? We were venting to each other after the Stanford game in Anaheim.

The future is bright. So far it's been a smooth transition from Crean and his staff to Buzz and his. The team should be good again this year, but how good is the question? My big concern continues to be post play. We'll see what happens.

God you guys put lots of thought into what you wear to these games, I just wore cloths that maximized space to sneak in alcohol. To each their own I guess.

You know how much booze can be stashed in a bee suit?

well if you can get yourself down to the front on a consistent basis, maybe we can get another one made.

What's up Avery...welcome to the madness.  Gotta tip my hat to you as one of the most recognizable MU fans around.  Was there a televised game this year, that you were not on?!?
