2017-18 Big East game thread

Thought it was kinda handy last year, may as well make one for this year.

Gonna find out how good Creighton is without Patton and Watson real quick. They play Northwestern tonight who have struggled in their first two games.

Seton Hall was struggling early with Indiana, but taking over in the second half. Up 57-43 on the strength of a big second half run.

Side note, the new points of emphasis have made a lot of games borderline unwatchable. Way too many whistles...

Hegner may have just blown out his knee. Couldn't really tell what he hurt.

Lowly Gtown beats Mount St Mary’s 102-68. Anything to make of that?

The Cats are getting hammered like they are DePaul at the Rosemont.  Our scrimmage RPI just dropped us another seed line.

In terms of comparison? Not really. MSM playing their third road game in 6 days, we had a 37 point lead before letting off the gas, and GT more than doubled them up on the boards.

That Krampelj kid came out of nowhere for Creighton. Averaged 2 points and 2 boards last season. Averaging over 10 points, 8 rebounds, has an eFG% of 65% through 3 games. They'll need him if Hegner is out for a significant amount of time. He was on crutches by the end of the game.

No love for X in Vegas. Wisconsin favored by 3.5.
I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

Simple. The game is at the Kohl Center.

Ehh. Top 15 team against a team outside the top 40. X should be favored.

Well, I hope your right. If that was the case, the betting line would move.

St John's looks athletic..

I only caught the last 5 minutes, but Nebraska looked like the Washington Generals playing the Globetrotters. Hope that's why Morrow left, as entertaining as St John's looked, the Huskers looked bad.

Their fans are such babies.  Taunt Xavier players, you better expect it back when your team falls apart.

Clearly JP didn't forget about last year's tournament. or the year before. Good for him.

Nice win for Xavier against the Badgers. The Johnnies looked good against the Huskers.

Providence built up a 12-point lead, then held on as Washington surged back repeatedly. Going to get out with a 77-70 win, though. In the "Wojo can spot talent" narrative, Kalif Young is developing nicely. Tough, physical kid.

Washington shouldn't be good this season. Worrisome that they gave the Friars that much trouble.

Huskers are bad but SJU put them away with style.

X is much better than the Badgers, but the Kohl Hole can be a huge advantage. They played well. I hope we can beat both of them this season.
