Purdue demolished Chicago State.  Butler letting Princeton hang around.  But they will probably hang on.

Georgetown looked a little better than I thought, cupcake considered. Well-organized, playing Gtown defense.

Creighton, while winning big, looks wayward.  A lot of depth but missing pieces as TAMU laid out on preview.

Butler was a 9 point favorite. Remember Princeton lost by 2 to Notre Dame in the tournament last year. So, nice test for Butler.

Vermont gave Kentucky fight

Really can't take much from that.  Kentucky struggled with Utah Valley the other night also.  They tend to struggle in the early part of the year, every year.

Also was Vermont's first game of the year though

:Oh....and last we you guys shot me down for saying Vermont was going to be a significantly tough game for us.....

Just shows who knows college Bball and who does not.....

Vermont should have beat Kentucky but shot very poorly for them from 3.....

I hope we get that lucky.....

I put our odds of winning that game at 40% and only because we are at home.....

And we should have won the national title last season, but we failed to win 6 games after our conference tournament ended.

No one said Vermont wouldn't be a tough game.

40% seems very pessimistic. Vermont is a very good team and has been for years. They have yet to beat a high major team in the non-conference under this coach. Could we be the first? Sure.

I don't remember anyone saying Vermont was going to be easy or shooting anyone down?

In fact I remember almost everyone mentioning that it would be a really good test because of how well Vermont has played the last few years.

I remember a couple of people keeping us up on MU foes’ records last year. I remember being pleased by the quality records of our opponents especially the BE as a whole. So far this year only DP fallen so far to ranked ND.

I would never be consistent enough to keep up those stats but if someone else keeps us posted, I’ll be interested.

Wisconsin is Happ, Davison, and the Kohl center.  Xavier needs to be patient and attack the rim.

They lost momentum when they stopped driving and settled for outside shots. Xavier is pretty clearly the better team, but that fact alone doesn't guarantee them a win.

The issue is mostly Blueitt. Guy needs to realize there's a game being played.

Every time I watch this guy he either cannot miss or looks like he should be a walk on.

Might have something to do with defense. Play teams like Marquette, can't miss. Play Wisconsin and he's kept in check.

Guess I just had to stop watching. XU was tied at 64 when we caught a run. Finished 16-6 to beat Bucky. Man is Wisconsin one dimensional. They are one Ethan Happ injury away from being Rutgers.

Funny, to read what the fans have to say they are extremely excited about their freshman.

Davison will be a player, no one else showed much. Happ does make everyone on that team look better, though. He's great at finding cutters, outside shooters, really impressive passing from out of the post. He is their entire team. Take him away and they would've lost by 40 yesterday.

Fortunately, Marquette has shown it can play excellent post defense...
