Read today they are ranked 22nd in the nation and finished 3rd this week in the Marquette invitational behind #1 Texas A&M and UCLA, but beat Florida State, Michigan State, Wisconsin, and many others.   

First time MU golf has ever been ranked.  Congratulations to the squad.

Phenomenal what has been going on with MU athletics the last number of years.  Men's and women's basketball back doing well.  Lacrosse is terrific. Golf team nationally ranked.  Women's volleyball first place Big East and NCAA participant year in and year out.  Women's soccer remains strong.  Marquette won the President's Award in the Big East last year.  Tremendous.

Men's soccer is the one where I've been disappointed.  Had high hopes for the coach years ago when he was brought in, but they don't seem to be able to get over the hump.

Apparently you don't know much about Trackman.

Jason Day lives in Columbus and trains at OSU's facilities. Winter only prevents actual course play, plenty of technology to keep players training though.

Sure do... I got Matt Haase to tell me the story of his Big East tournament record one night.  Hell of a story.  His second shot of the day was ankle deep in water and still managed to shoot a 64.  The whole round consisted of lucky bounces and craziness.  One of the best stories I've ever heard in my life.

Ummm....Luke Donald anyone? Gleacher Indoor Golf facility on their campus helped put NU on the Ncaa golf map, not to mention their dual "home" course rota of Skokie CC and Conway Farms C.C.

Marquette having US Open host site Erin Hills as a "home" course is huge for recruiting.  Also, in the past twenty years, PGA Tour guys like Steve Stricker and "Lumpy" have made it known how cool it is to go home to Wisconsin and Minnesota to work on their game in the off-season. As PTM alluded to, with indoor simulators and launch monitors, not to mention heated stalls and domes, it's not as big a deal to be in a cold weather state and still keep a college-level golf swing sharp.

Not quite correct.  Last year then-freshman Matthew Bachman was the individual champ. This year, freshmen Hunter Eichhorn was the individual champ.  Two years, two different freshman as Big East champs. Awesome job by the golf program.

They have nobody to blame but themselves.  Shooting a 13 over 157 on the back 9 in the final round of the conference tournament was the final straw.  The Big East is not strong enough in golf to be able to overcome this.

According to my handy Google research Liberty Law school ranked 190th out of 196 law schools in terms of graduates passing the bar exam.  UW-Rodents and Marquette ranked #1 and #2?  It's on the internet, must be true.

UW and MU law grads don't take the bar exam if they practice in WI.  Only state in the country with that arrangement.

The multi state test portion  is standardized and included in the bar exams of most , if not all other states. This helps attorneys with reciprocity and moving from state to state, down the road. Ie, in some states to come in and practice there only requires passing bar in your original state, practicing 5-10 years in good standing and just submitting character references and ....you are admitted in the new state....no testing.

Yes ....Reciprocity is common for the experienced practitioner .
