I don't like the way they structured this year's mini-plan.  Usually we do the mini-plan and sometimes one other game (they used to have a five-gamer) but this year's structure gives you very little flexibility.  We will probably just buy our four games as single-game tickets, so it fits with our needs better (two people in Milwaukee and two in Chicago).  And the 8 pm weekdays are not great for getting back home sigh.

It's the same format as last year. Which did very well. This year you get an additional game for free.

By last year's RPI:

Richmond 72
Syracuse 86
Mt St Mary’s 137
UMES 279
Jacksonville 305
Maine 323
N. Texas St 338
Coppin St 336
Howard 339
NC A&T 350
Alabama A&M 351 (out of 351)

If they can go at least 8 and 3 OOC, they will have indisputably shown that they have one of the top 300 programs in the nation.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Brutal.  Seven out of eleven worse than 300.

There is a lot of pushback within GU circles on this one, but those who made the schedule don't care.

Georgetown will go into conference play undefeated or with one loss. They will get some good PR. Hopefully when they play St Johns the first time , both will have good records and that will generate a lot of media attention.

I don't believe that for a second. There is no way they'll be undefeated. I would be very surprised if they had one loss.

They should win the bulk of their games, but I expect 2 or more losses, even with that crapcake schedule.

Who do you expect them to lose to? Syracuse is also rebuilding and they play at Georgetown. Richmond looks like a barely top 150 team. The rest are all sub 250 teams. I expect them to have only 1 loss in the OOC. However, I don't think they will get any good PR because of it like MUFINY suggested.

Who knows...but bad teams lose games to other bad teams all the time.  We have had plenty of unexpected non conference losses over the years, and a loss to 'Cuse or Richmond would hardly be a shocker.

I get why, but I will miss the NYE/MLK marathons the Big East has done in recent years.  Those were really cool.

I agree, but it leaves holes in other nights for FS1 with no Big East games on those Tuesday and Wednesday's. We'll have Big Ten and Pac-12 games on Monday's, Friday's, Thursday's and Sunday's.

Both Syracuse and Richmond. It wouldn't surprise me if they dropped one to one of their cupcakes as well. I think Georgetown will be worse-than-2015-Marquette bad.
