Burton was Top 15 nationwide of all players in Pudner's Defensive Value Add...why the hate?  It's not like Wojo's team play better defense. Burton transferring was a net negative. That said, he wasn't a Wojo fit.

Wish him nothing but the best. Kid got dealt a tough hand. Tougher than most. I don't think his defense will be the problem. He's a pretty solid on ball defender and his steal and block stats make him a very good defender overall. He greatly improved from his time at Marquette. His offense is too inefficient. From a PPP perspective, the only offensive plays he was great at were post ups and put backs....which he won't be doing in the NBA. Should have a nice european or d-league career. But who knows? Weirder things have happened.
