Update on UNC investigation

Here: http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/19180813/ex-nfl-agent-pleads-guilty-multi-year-north-carolina-tar-heels-sports-agent-probe

Quote
...investigation by the Secretary of State's office, which launched its probe in summer 2010 after the NCAA had opened an investigation into the Tar Heels football program. That case ultimately spawned the school's ongoing multiyear academic scandal, which has UNC currently facing five top-level NCAA charges that include lack of institutional control.

I think we as a society need to find a better punishment than prison for things like this.

Don't worry. The ncaa will just punish the current students for the errors of the old.

How would you suggest they go back and punish "the old"?

UNC needs the death penalty.  It doesn't have to punish current students.  They should/will be offered the ability to transfer with immediate eligibility to any institution.  That can rectify any harm.

Also, these current students came to UNC with awareness that a serious ongoing investigation could have severe consequences for the institution.  So it is not as if this should blindside them.

NCAA:  To ensure that UNC-Chapel Hill's antics are not rampant in the entire 17-school UNC system, we will implement the following 17 16-part punishment plan.  The plan is as follows

1: Appalachian State University
2: East Carolina University
3: Elizabeth City State University
4. Fayetteville State University
5. North Carolina A&T State University
6. North Carolina Central University
7. North Carolina State University
8. UNC Asheville
9. UNC-Chapel Hill
10. UNC Charlotte
11. UNC Greensboro
12. UNC Pembroke
13. UNC Wilmington
14. UNC School of the Arts
15. Western Carolina University
16. Winston-Salem State University
17. NC School of Science and Mathematics

Spot on.  I hope no one at UNC School of the Arts loses their job over UNC's transgressions.

Time to move this thread to the topics of which North Carolina players we'd want as transfers and who Wojo should cut to make room for them.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Yeah, I'm not part of the Scoop Police Force, but I do wonder what this thread is doing on the Al site.

Oh. We're not supposed to fill this board with whatever we want? Crazy. I'll have to start more unrelated threads
