Solely from an emotional standpoint due to my college years, I will never put any cheese curds above the Dogg Haus cheese curds on Wells.
From a pure quality standpoint, the Mozzarella Marinara at Calderone Club (dinner menu only) is fantastic.

Anybody had curds at the Crafty Cow in Oconomowoc.  I like them but don't have anything to compare to.

*walks to microphone*
"well we've honored a lot of classic Wisconsin themes tonight: 'best defense of MU girls posteriors', 'biggest boner for the Pack's front office', 'most clicks/views received', 'biggest you don't understand, my in-laws are Badger fans', and who can forget the 'sign a brother/get a brother' award........but on to our big award"

*rips open envelope*
"the most Wisconsin theme of......"
*gasps, looks at Pricewaterhouse Coopers VP*
"is this right?"
*nod from VP*
"not only of 2017 but the most Wisconsin theme EVER goes to 'best cheese curds'"

That would be for the folks that are participating in the 0K run/walk.

I love the Drink Wisconsinbly bar - especially when you can wipe your feet on the Bears rug when you enter (the shades on their lights are pretty cool too).

Adding to the Cholesterol Index for Father's Day Weekend in MKE, it is Polish Fest weekend at Maier Festival Park.

It's just a bit outside of Milwaukee, but Renard's in Door County (either location) has the best curds (and string cheese) I've found.  Always fresher than fresh and squeakier than squeaky can be.
HILLTOP SENIOR SURVEY from 1984 Yearbook:
Favorite Drinking Establishment:

1. The Avalanche.              7. Major Goolsby's.
2. The Gym.                      8. Park Avenue.
3. The Ardmore.                 9. Mugrack.
4. O'Donohues.                 10. Lighthouse.
5. O'Pagets.
6. Hagerty's.

Love that place -- Here are a couple of photos I took the last time I was there:

If by "just a bit outside of Milwaukee" you mean a 2.5 hour drive, then yes, it's just a bit.  I do agree that Renard's has top shelf curds.

Everyone knows that Door County is a suburb of Chicago not Milwaukee.

Since we were talking about Milwaukee, I figured throwing in a little Ueckerism would bring Door a little closer....
