What?  "The program and the facilities are unbelievable!"?

So who puts those together?  The MU administration?  Don't tell Goose.   ;)
Have some patience, FFS.

This feels like a great fit for Marquette. Harry seems very motivated to do the work to get better and prove a lot of people who doubted him--either at SMU or from home--that they are wrong and he is going to be great. It takes a lot of work to light that fire in a kid if he doesn't bring it on his own. Really excited to see him on the court after Todd gets ahold of him.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Well, its a good thing that MU82 unjinxed it after you jinxed it then!
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

You're clueless on multiple points. There's a diff between appealing to have a year of eligibility granted and an appeal to not sit out the required year in residence

Dawson had no case and his request was dismissed. There's nothing known that would indicate Froling has a prayer of not sitting out a year
I was only posting on what I remembered someone posting sometime ago about Dawson's eligibility and that I did include in my post. I have not followed Dawson, so I would not know about what actually happen with him. Perhaps what I was incorrectly remembering was someone posting about Dawson appealing for an extra year. It certainly is not worth my time to go back and look at what was actually posted. Either way I agree that there is no basis for Froling  to win an appeal.

Does he start practicing with the team this week? Wonder if he will be a better defender under the boards.

I referee youth basketball and on Saturday I just so happened to be paired with a ref who hails from Australia. She is a former player, both in Australia and at D2 Nebraska-Kearney, and she has been reffing youth ball since she was 15.

She said she called many of Froling's games when he was playing youth ball and high school. She said, "You got a great one - a really great kid who has serious game."

Not that we needed any more validation. I just thought this was an interesting happenstance that I happened to ref a few games with an Aussie who knows Harry.

Thanks for sharing, seems like another reason to feel good about next year.  Now if we can get that Grad transfer.
