Is this the first time there has been 3 MU alum on the same floor at the same time?

Just told by someone in the know that Jimmy Butler and Jae Crowder -- ex-Marquette teammates -- not exactly boys.

They definitely didn't appear to be buds during one play tonight... anyone know the backstory on this?

Poor choice of words by Goodman.  You kinda expect the next line to be something like "Jimmy will be named Alexa and Jae will go by Sheryl from now on."

It's almost like things can change over months and months

Or it's like things actually get competitive in professional sports sometimes.

Well seeing as this isn't the first time this concept of Jimmy having changed for the worse has been brought up I'm going to side with those who believe they aren't friends and are respected reporters

Meh. They were chatting it up 60 seconds later. This is a whole lot of "nothing to see here."

I'd be beyond shocked if there isn't much worse every year in Kasten gym.

If you guys are that much into drama, may I suggest some WWE instead?

What drama?  That's the point.  People are trying to make something out of nothing.

Agreed.  Jae mauled Jimmy on the last possession too.  Figured he'd give him a hand to let him up...but nope.

Also did see them chatting a bit pregame, so probably has more to do with the heat of the moment than anything else.

Sorry to spoil the fun as per MUWarrior4Life:

Butler had some heated words with college teammate Crowder late in the first half.

Crowder rebounded a miss by Wade - another Marquette product - and charged into Butler, leading to a heated exchange.

Rondo also got into it with Isaiah Thomas, and all four players got called for technicals.

''Jae's my guy,'' Butler said. ''It's the heat of the moment. That's what's supposed to happen.''

You mean he didn't bath mouth a player who went to the same small tight nit school that he did?! I'm shocked!

Listen I'm not saying they're enemies or anything but I was 5 rows back from behind the bulls basket and they weren't talking to eachother and on more than one other occasion were giving a push or shove. Maybe they aren't the BFFs that we all wish they'd be.

To the original point of the thread, it was a ton of fun to see all 3 guys out there on the same court.  It's no wonder we were going deep in so many tournaments. Those 3 are amazing.

They're getting paid millions to try to beat their opponent.  Once you're competing against each other on the court, it's business, not personal.

Wade's throat slash after the clinching 3 was obviously an homage to Crowder vs. Louisville. That means they ARE boys. Could this create drama between Wade & Jimmy in the Bulls' locker room???
