I'm itchin' to know that, too. It's less than a 4-hour drive for us and it might be the only MU game we can attend this season.

I'm hoping for something like 1 p.m. ... which means it will probably end up being a night game.

Here is an article in the local papers but it does not mention any game time.

Wow. The newspaper needed to use open-records laws to get the date of this game.

Top secret game dates probably won't help UGa's attendance....

How devious.

The article is from May.  It was about as "top secret" as Marquette's schedule was at that time.  And every one of Marquette's home games is listed as "TBA" right now except for the Rockhurst exhibition.

So if Georgia makes the SEC Championship game, you'll have your choice of seats for the basketball game?
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Basketball game is the day after the SEC title game, presumably on purpose.

Could some of our resident peach-eaters give us a quick low-down on Athens... specifically:

1) How's the drive from ATL Int'l?

2) Are the accommodations/availability in Athens on par with similar locales, i.e. rural college town proximate to major city (e.g. Ann Arbor, Bloomington (IN), Lexington, etc.)?

3) Any other reasons one (not necessarily a UGA or MU fan) might want to take a trip down Georgia way that week?

Not a peach eater but have been to Athens once or twice.

1) Not bad. Atlanta suburbs for half the way and rural highways the rest. Takes about an hour and a half IIRC. Decent BBQ joint in the way but I don't tenner what it's called.

2) Yes. But probably on the lower end in both quality and price.

3) Not sure but it is a surprisingly good town to eat in

3)

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

Check the lineup at the Georgia theatre and the 40 watt. Great music town.

Yes, very cool. Hopefully Auburn pulls four upsets and Nick Saban finally decides winning the national title half of his seasons in Bama is enough, and I can watch Auburn take the title and then Marquette get a big road win at Georgia on the same weekend trip!
