No.  He hasn't played basketball in any meaningful way in 5 years.
Have some patience, FFS.

Who was the idiot GM who picked him?  Between him and Joe Alexander, ouch, and maybe Rashard Vaughn, not sure he is quick enough or good enough.

Just look at the Bucks first round picks from about 1999-2011. It's embarrassing.

11 - Jimmer
10 - Sanders
09 - Jennings
08 - Alexander
07 - Yi
06 - no first round pick
05 - Bogut (at 1 overall)
04 - no first round pick
03 - Ford
02 - Hasslip
01 - no first round pick
00 - Collier
99 - no first round pick

I'm watching the BBC stream of the USA v China game. We just got a Marquette mention when the announcer walked the audience through JFB's backstory.

We've gone international, boys!

BBC has no commercials, and they show the full games with minimal chit chat. American TV is way behind the times!

I was surprised, but the NBC broadcast only had commercials between quarters.  Thanks McDonalds!

JFB's next game is Monday at 5 CST against Venezuela. NBCSP

Curious if anyone remembers exactly how the nickname JFB came about.  Was it his senior year?

My hommie, F*ckin', couldn't spell or pronounce Jimmy's middle name. So, he gave him one that he was familiar with, hey?

ZFB gave him the name in Jimmy's nickname thread. Let's use the wayback machine!

First ever mention of Jimmy F*cking Butler on muscoop. Also first mention of JFB: http://www.muscoop.com/index.php?topic=16621.msg161756#msg161756

Henry Sugar was an early advocate, when everyone else was trying to get "The Jimmy" to stick

Second JFB mention: http://www.muscoop.com/index.php?topic=16882.msg165579#msg165579

I seem to remember this was then solidified as he started to hit a string of game winning shots in just a few short weeks from this thread.
