Do we know if Wojo is done trying to make a point guard out of Haanif?
Starting 5 could be Haanif, Wilson, JJJ, Katin and Luke.

I give that a 5% shot.

If he isn't, he should get his head checked....way too much talent that's better suited running the show. Let Haanif slash and shoot off of someone else's creation #assassin

I don't think Haanif would have even been the back up PG had Rowsey had eligibility last year.

While I believe it true, some of this is to make Ner's head explode somewhere, I don't think Haanif is the back-up is Derrick has any eligibility left for last season

Hope it's closer to 0%. Cheetham's a good wing and a bad point guard (not his fault, it's not his position). Mysterious to me what Wojo saw there.

No other options.  Maybe Duane would have been better in that role, but not significantly so.

He got perma banned.  Just an accumulation of crap, and the mods threw in the towel.

ND sucks.

Lens is a good dude, but it has been rather dull around here without Ners and Chicos to push everyone's buttons.
The upside is less endlessly repeating posts.

He came back as "Vegas Baby" for a couple days.  Then "Oregon Warrior."  Amazing both these guys were supposed friends of his who cropped up here just after he was banned talking about what a great guy Chicos is and how unfair the mods are.

I'm sure it was just a coincidence.

They were far less awesome versions of Hoopaloop

Traci starting the last four games of the year would indicate that he is done with that idea.

At that point he thought Carter at point and Haanif at small forward was a better combination. I am looking at how do you get the best five players on the floor. I think we can agree that Fischer and Haanif are locks. Most of us, including me, think JJJ is going to have a very good senior year.Consensus here is that Reinhardt starts at the four, but I think it will be either Hauser of Cohen.
C. Fischer
PF Hauser/Cohen
G Haanif
G JJJ
G Reinhardt
Three big guards keeps the team from being small.
Wilson 6-2 & Carter 6-1 make us smaller
Rowsey 5-10 and Howard 5-11 make us really small.

You really don't like Traci and I don't understand why. He's going to be one of the most important players on this team alone with Fischer, Haanif and JJJ

I like Tracy and if you go back and look at my posts on the argument on who would start I was picking Tracy over Howard. Tracy is our only true point guard. However, when I look at the size of the team and the fact that Wojo wants all the guards to be able to play point on the floor a true point guard is not as important. Tracy may not be the best option even though he is the best point guard on the team. If you start Tracy you are losing 4-5 inches of team height based on the team I listed. You start Wilson you are losing 3-4 inches of team height. Start Wilson and Tracy you are losing 7-9 inches. Start one of the midgets and it gets worse. Why not a guarantee a bigger team should be better rebounding and better defensively. About any combination you put out there will be good offensively, so the deciding factor has to be which is the better defensive and rebounding team. Now of course Wojo will make the final decision on what is the best combination and that could include one, two or three of Carter, Howard and Rowsey. Rightly or wrongly I would go with the height.

Must have confused you with someone else. Someone here really dislikes Traci or rather thinks Howard is going to come in and automatically take his minutes (ain't gonna happen) can't remember who it is now.

Like him or not, you certainly can't spell his name.

You don't just put height on the court to put height in the court.

I doubt Wojo would sacrifice having a pg on the floor for 4 to 5 inches of "team height"

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.
