Speaking of bloodies, having one now at Loggers in Hayward.

Gonna head over to Rice Lake and have a slice of morning pie at the Nook with the Ellensons.  ;)

I have heard the evening pie is better. Fresher, more succulent, less tang.

Having said which, there is no finer way to start off a new day than by cutting a fresh slice of pie. Well done, Chili.

What are everyone's favorite pizza places in the Milwaukee area?

Lalli's is my personal favorite, followed by Barbiere's.

Balistreri's and Zaffiro's are solid, I was a fan of Pizza Man but I think I've had it too often.  Mama Mia's is okay.  Cranky Al's is pretty good.  Crossroads Pizza in New Berlin is good.    I find Marty's to be overrated.  Others?

Travel down to Chicago. Then get pizza.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Been discussed at length on Scoop.  Thanks for the suggestion.

If everyone else can bogart the recruiting threads, I can do this. Just give me this.

That said, if you ever make it to Fish Creek, I really like Wild Tomato. Given that I am surrounded by Chicago pizza (which is glorious), this is a fun change given how fresh all the ingredients are and the elaborate designs for their donation creations.

+1 - best pizza in MKE, fresh ingredients, doesn't try to get cute with its varieties.

I also occasionally enjoy Pizza Man (on Downer or the one near Mayfair), but they are A) expensive, except on Wed, when it's BOGO, and B) you get the sense they try too hard to be creative.

Not sure if I mentioned it, but the best specialty pizza I've had anywhere is whatever the Alfredo Pretzel Crust Pizza is at St. Francis Brewery. One of the best foods I've had ever. I think they market it as an appetizer, but it's freaking amazing. Pretzel crust, alfredo sauce, spinach and artichoke, it's like the best spinach and artichoke you've had times ten. Just awesome.

Meh, we just visited there again last week. Transfer is good although not my style of crust and even with extra cheese there is barely any cheese, WTF this is WI!

Marco's on Lisbon Rd and also on S. 27th is our favorite. Pizzaria Scotty is pretty good, Barbiere's is great and don't forget the garlic bread!

Yes, was going to mention their garlic bread.  I had almost forgot how good Barbiere's was until work got it catered in last year.  Have gone a couple times since and it is very good.  Their sausage is outstanding.

Forgot to mention Tomaso's out in Cedarburg is awesome, plus that area in general is really nice.

Would have to agree with the other Lucci's fan from the 1980s.....
The little pepperoni slices were small slices of greasy goodness.   My old roommate Eric could eat a whole pizza, out drink me and then wake up Saturday am and play basketball at the Rec all day long.  Maybe it was the pizza....or a healthy 21 year old liver

Pizza Joe's / Pizza Pi's closed down because the staff was taken over by the rugby team and more free pizza was going out the door than paid pizza.

I believe Jerry Cohen of Major Goolsby's (and other MKE haunts) owned it and just pulled the plug realizing college kids, late night and a cash business are tough combination for success.

I'm late to the party but the only way I ate Angelos Pizza was after about four pitchers of beer.

The beer killed the taste!

That stuff was awful. The Krispy Kreme of pizzas!
