1. Katin Reinhardt
2. Matt Carlino
3. Young isn't a transfer
4. He lost out on Lee and Miller to two blue blood programs, I guess technically a whiff but hardly an unforgivable one
5. HOT TAKES!!!!

I would even throw Gabe Levin in there since he really only ended up leaving once he realized HE was coming and his playing time was going to be dramatically reduced.

Now you have 4 openings for next year. or Charlie Mathews from Kentucky?  He almost came once before.  That would be a good pick-up, take the spot of JJJ
the following year.  I like that!

Pass on Matthews. We don't need another 2/3 player on this roster, and he was recruited by Buzz the last time. Highly doubt he'd have much interest in MU now, and I'd guess MU would have less interest in him.

Clearly, the answer is to start another thread.    MU will be better next year.    Fringe tournament team.    Assuming no injuries to Luke or Heldt.

I know.  With the political board gone, he's got to find his clicks elsewhere.

Hey, what happened to the politics board???

Brew, I do not think you can pass on anybody.  If he is interested, try again.  There is a spot for him.  Wojo, has not sealed the deal the last 2 years on kids in the
spring and other than Hauser,  the recruits have followed Stan Johnson it seems so far, great big up by Wojo.   Next year will be very interesting that is for sure, on the recruiting front.

We had two 6'11 guys start for us and play 28+ mins last season. One was 1st team all Big-East and a lottery pick. We missed the NIT.

Would have liked Kalif but he wasn't the piece that was gonna get us to the next level. Let's see how Fishy and the Shooters do. I for one think we have a better team next year. It's the year after that I'm worried about. 2017 is a yuge recruiting year.

Agree 100%.  I am excited about our team.  We are loaded with shooters.  We had athletes instead of shooters for so many years.  This year we will be fast, aggressive and score a lot of points.  Can't wait.

You're wrong.  We are another 8 - 10 BE team, season over after second round loss in the BET

Maybe .. who knows?

But if so, it won't be because a 3-star project decided not to come here.

It's these post season transfers that he whiffs on.  Shonn and Lee last year and Gill and Young this year.  And he compounded this year's whiff by dumping Wally when he had nothing.

I am quite confident that Heisy will reiterate this sentiment---which he has from last years "whiffs" for the next 3 years. Too tough day for Heisy.

I wonder if we get 3 bigs next year, how will Joey Hauser like the situation.

No problem. I'd sell Joey on him being a "3/4... we want you to demonstrate ALL your skills... "

He's versatile enough that you let him know he's got minutes coming and I think you're good...
Thanks for ruining summer, Canada.

Wojo didn't recruit him, which means building a relationship from scratch. We could still use a big body next year and he wouldn't address that. There's no logical reason to pursue him.

Matthews wasn't interested in THIS Marquette. The coaching staff changed, which means everything changed. There is zero continuity. Would be a complete waste of recruiting resources.

If Wojo was primarily concerned about next year, I think Wally would have helped us more that Kalif would have.

At the same time, it would have been nice to have some size this year in the understudy role where they could really step in when Fish graduates.  Instead we will have to rely on freshmen bigs.  YUCK!!!

I hate to say it but this program is spinning its wheels more than going places.  And for those who keep brining up Villanova small ball and winning, we are not even close to Villanova talent at this point in time.  Maybe in a couple of years but I don't want to be 6 years removed from being in the NCAA tournament.

This is an NIT team, just like it would have been with Young.

There are better PF options in the 2017 class. Go get one of those cats instead.

Personally---I think MU Basketball is at an all-time low to recruits Popularity is gone. . Young was rated No. 326 on one poll. These are the type of players we get excited about! WOW! Hope next year
recruiting is better, otherwise we will go to a low D-1 level. Probably are a low D-1 mid-major now.
Saw many good MU teams, how this program has tumbled. Buzz left the cupboard bare.
But--WE ARE MARQUETTE!

That's my point though. Kalif would have been a good get for the lomg run. IMO he wouldn't have made much of a difference next year.

I guess we will see next year right?

Jesus H. Christ on a pogo stick.

Back to back top 20 classes and we are a mid major program and recruits don't like us anymore.

Some people need a lesson in logic.

Yes, recruits obviously hate us.

That's why we had a top-10 recruiting class in Wojo's first year and a top-20 this time.

Quickly looking at current NBA early entries that have yet to sign with an agent.  I'd give my left nut for the following:

Jimmy Hall; Kent state   6'8" 235 lbs, averaged 16.4 pts 7.9 rbs
Marc-Eddy Norelia; FGCU  6'8" 218 lbs, averaged 17.1 pts 9.3 rbs
Alec Peters; Valpo  6'9: 230 lbs, averaged  18.4 pts 8.5 rbs

1/2 a nut:

Andrew White III; Nebraska  6'7" 220 lb, averaged 16.6 pls, 5.9 rbs

Jimmy Hall is a modern day James "Stretch" Gregory.
