D Wade Performing Well In The Playoffs
« on: May 06, 2016, 02:37:33 PM »
Dwyane Wade has been doing well in the playoffs.

Always a plus to have our alum performing well. Hopefully he can keep it up and get a series against Lebron.

D Wade with 38,8 reb and 4 assists  tonight. Unfortunatley the Heat lost 95-91 as Whiteside was injured. Wade put the team on his back and was looked 10 years younger.

Can you imagine if the Heat could add a guy like Klay Thompson?  They could easily compete for another title.

Wade stuggles to be the MVP player of the past, but now that he is healthy, he still commands a ridiculous amount of attention.  A guy like Klay on the wing would be awesome.

Nice game for Dwyane. Must have been those extra warmup shots he took during O Canada, a''ina?
Thanks for ruining summer, Canada.

Spectacular again last night.

By the time he's through, our former Warrior will be one of the top 10 scorers in postseason history to go with the multiple titles he already has.

Not bad.

You should go back probably 2 years ago on this board and read all the posts saying the guy was done, should retire, etc.  It was pretty funny stuff.

I never gave up on him. He has incredible basketball IQ and we are seeing him put that to use in these playoffs.

these highlights are incredible stuff.

They didn't include his scoop shot that went up on the rim attachment and just sat there!

I mean, OK, maybe he's secretly a serial killer who's pulled the wool over our eyes with his good deeds and smooth jumper - Pakuni (on Markus Howard)

I saw that live last night.  I've watched a LOT of basketball and don't think I've ever seen that happen.

I saw it once before, I think in an MU game.  Decades ago.

You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

His PER which peaked at 30.4 in 2009 has been on a steady decline since and been

24 in '13
22 in '14
21 in '15
20 in '16

He's also missed 18-25 games in various seasons.  This post season has been an incredible turnaround.  It's awesome to see.

He's taking advantage of a deal with the devil where the devil agreed to give him back his younger self for a future post season....

...and all Dwayne had to do for his part of the deal was wear Indiana shorts for one day.

Wade's minutes have also decreased from 34.7 - 32.9 - 31.8 - 30.5 during that stretch. That's today's NBA - stars coast through the regular season and then flip the switch for the playoffs.

I don't live by it but it does show relative to his past success where he is.  Many thought he was washed up 2-3 years ago (as a super star) so it's great to see him bounce back.
