1.  Wojo lit a fire.
2.  LSU is not a good defensive team.
3.   Really Duane?
4.  Having said that, Duane and JJ may have played their best game in tandem in their careers.
5.  Simmons is really good.
6.  Aggressive to the rim all night.
7.  Defense was not much better, but MU played hard and LSU did not grind possessions.
8.  Traci Carter looked like he was back in Italy.
9.  Glad to finally be wrong.
10.  Take every win and run.    Well done, MU.

Pulled it out.  They could have easily coughed it up.  Fischer needs to be more aggressive and not sink away below the backboard in clutch situations.  Step to the block, be available, catch and dunk.

Oh and regarding #5...  I don't recall a smoother 20/20 performance. And he doesn't even look for his shot all that often. Impressive.

Carter, after looking good most of the night, looked like a freshman the last 3+ minutes.   Cheatham looked like a freshman coming in cold.   Lots of time to learn.

When you have four fouls you have to be smart enough not to oush off on offense. Also missed the front end of two critical one & ones.

He should have at the end.

22 turnovers, Simmons with 21 pts and 20 rbs, Henry in foul trouble most of the game then fouls out with 2+ minutes in a close game and they still win.
Big game, growth game, better things to come.

22 turnovers and win, wow.......  Three straight games with over 20

Cheatham had five turnovers and hardly played in second half.

Carter and Henry have to learn to finish games at the end.  Freshman mistakes, but Carter ran the show pretty good all night.

Free Throws, ugh.  Carter was 1 for 4 and as a PG with ball in hand has to hit those.  No more Dwil from last year.  MU missed four front ends.

MU had problems with press, but on numerous occasions broke the press for breakaways and MU actually had some dunks tonight.

JJJ going to get a lot more minutes, Cheatham may not.

If Simmons develops an outside shot, oh boy......

Great game and effort, even with cardiac arrest after Duane's three attempt.

Some good and some bad from just about everyone.  Our frontcourt is really good when it can stay out of foul trouble.  Almost everyone played well, other than Cheatham.  I think the game's a little too fast for him right now and he just gets stuck not knowing where he's going with the ball too often.  Wish we would've thrown Anim in there when Henry and/or Luke had to go to the bench with foul trouble.

Agree with just about everything said here.

Gotta say that Traci looked really good for 37 minutes. Fantastic passes and aggressive attacking the baseline and looking for a dish inside or to the opposite corner.

Simmons is a legit one-and-done guy.

He has been trending on Twitter for much of the night.

Wojo needs to have Duane and JJJ hand-holding them to try to soak up some of the freshman mistakes.  Duane was chilling in the corner in the frontcourt during one of Carter's several press turnovers; he had no outlet.  Cheatham tends to dribble way too much, and will drive or head to traffic without a good end game - get him to hand it over to JJJ, a good passer and offensive decision-maker.

It's been a LONG time since we have had a win like this (national television, ranked opponent).  Definitely good to build from.

The team needs confidence in a big way.  They have played as underdogs in every game, seeing their play and body language.  Against the press late, and after Ellenson fouled out, NO ONE wanted the ball.  Whether it was Carter, Wilson or Cheatham, our ball handlers were dribbling into double and triple teams - because no wanted wanted the ball in the pressure situation.  That needs to change.  Hopefully, this win will boost the group and start "respecting the process" as scoopers have so eloquently put it in recent years.

I guess Ellenson is going to be the guy we harp on this year when he's not perfect.
