First video out of Zaire and Dahveon playing up in AAU ball. These kids have excellent IQ and when they fill out and grow they are going to be very attractive recruits. They are in class of 2020.

So your curiosity of a hypothetical comes from another hypothetical coming true to get closure on your original hypothetical's curiosity?

Seems like a lot of work.

It's the offseason. If you have better stuff for me to think of regarding MU hoops I'm happy to listen to suggestions

Not at all. It may not be likely, but I've heard repeatedly how underrated Cain is. How ready John is to be an instant upgrade on defense. What if Elliott is the next unsung stud that recalls memories of Wade while Eke is a slightly better Ismael Sanogo?

It may not be likely, but it's far from impossible, and writing guys off as expendable before they hit campus is just ridiculous.

As it stands right now we have one guy coming from the top 150. The rest of the Big East has 16 or 17. So right now this class ranks somewhere in the bottom half of the conference. I hope you're right and our problem turns out to be too much talent, but...

I like each and every guy we have on the roster next year. I challenge you to find a post in which I say otherwise. But it will literally be impossible for each player on the team next year to get the minutes necessary to each prove their worth has a useful high major player. It just isn't going to happen. I hope like heck it does, because I have a feeling we won't lose very many games in that scenario.

I'm not going to sit here and guess who the odd man out may be if we somehow have 14 players in 13 months because it is pointless. There are no obvious candidates at this point in time. But I'm also not niave enough to think that I can project a 13 man roster over 12 months away with a ton of moving parts. But what I do know is you go after the best talent you can when you have the luxury that Marquette has right now with its roster. If you convince more guys to join than you have room for, there's a damn good chance it will take care of itself. But there is a long way to go until we're at that point.

That's all I'm sayin.
I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

2019 Offer...

We just want ALL the Detroit recruits. 3 star PG, just inside the top 150 at the moment. But if Izzo offers a kid this early you know he's probably good.

It may be unlikely but it's not zero.

Im not a fan of oversigning.......if somebody leaves and you have room to take somebody in the spring fine.

To sign more players then you have spots for is to tell the entire team that if nobody wants to leave then we will decide who leaves. How does that help the culture?

How do you sell that to recruits? To their parents? If your son was recruited to play for MU and then a year later he was told " sorry we need your scholarship" my guess is you would be pretty missed off.

Sorry not a fan......

My guess is we won't get all 3 so it will be a moot point.
I agree 100% with this. I never want to oversign. However, maybe a player like Markus decides to enter the NBA draft, a player gets a career ending injury or Bailey falls in love with a girl and wants to follow her to BYU. As much as I dislike oversigning, it may be the way to go.

It has been my belief that if he left without committing, he won't be coming to MU..Just a feeling.

The young man has multiple visits planned. He is experienced and wise to the ways of college athletics and so are his parents. I fully expect him to take all the trips he can before making a decision. It will come to the chemistry he feels he has with the players and coaches as all his choices are excellent.

He also has two data points on Wojo's close at hand: STJ and Jabari.

The data points are helpful for sure , but it's the current players he is interested in.

Been monitoring, but need to see more / how things progress.

BTW, NY2LA is in Minn this wknd. I've gotta coach in another tourney Sat, but I will probably swing out to Hopkins for Jets Ramey (Watson) at 7:05pm, followed by Harry's little bro at 8:10pm

Didn't one of our most recent recruits leave MU without signing, take a visit elsewhere and then STILL commit to Wojo? Was it Markus or one of the new recruits? I can't remember, but I'm too lazy to look it up.

When Morrow announced on Friday evening, leading into his Marquette visit that he would visit Xavier on May 12-13 I proceeded with caution.
