Bulls fire Tibs

Does this put the wheels in motion?  Does Hoiberg want/get the job?  Does Jimmy say 'see ya' and leave?  Discuss away.

Hoiberg takes the job.

Thibs won't be as highly coveted as Bulls fans think because he cannot listen to management and is an assistant coach within 4 years.

Butler...tough...takes the money and stays with the Bulls if offered...but I feel like he may have a Buzz-like relationship with Thibs...I don't know.

#Bulls sources:  at least three starters ripped Thibs in exit interview, said they'd avoid team facility this summer if he were still there.

Wow. One isn't Derrick.

So there's JFB, Pau, Noah or Dunleavy.

I guarantee Dunleavy was one. Thibs was constantly questioning his availability due to injuries. I'd wager Butler was another. Noah is never at the Bulls facility anyway in the off season and I'm sure Gasol wouldn't have been there either way. That leaves Rose. If anybody quit in the Cleveland series it was him. In other words, I'm guess Dunleavy, Butler and Rose.

unless one is a super super stud star/part owner-not good for the resume.  let's just say one of these guys gets traded to another team-if you are the coach, do ya have to sleep with your eyes open?

Everyone knows in the NBA that the issue is Thibs and his inability to let his players breathe.

Pretty sure it wasn't JFB because he was cited as leaving the practice facility yesterday after Thibs termination... as was Rose... so they certainly weren't avoiding the place!

Hoiberg will take the job.

if this becomes the case, that would really throw a wrench into iowa states program-

where did tommy tibs go wrong?  wasn't it just thruough the past few years especially, the guy could have run for mayor and won?

Thibs just overuses players.  He coaches to win games in February as if they are playoff games.  He doesn't allow players to develop though the course of the year, so that by the end of the season, half the team is gassed and the other half has no experience.

Furthermore he has no personal life and no hobbies.  He isn't married and has no kids.  So he is constantly at the facility.  Constantly coaching.  Players want time away from their coach.

Finally, he is supposedly just a strange dude.

Jimmy and Dunleavy are soon to be free agents so they won't be at the Bulls facility until they sign anyway.  As to Bernstein's source, that is Paxson.

Sounds like a Crean/Buzz hybrid of their worst qualities.

Hoiberg will take the job.

If Hoiberg takes the job, will Marquette start sending many early entry players to the Bulls?
