Sacar Amin hints at the possibility of playing with Wright.  Anyone seen Wright?  Small PG from MN.

He's nice. Has done well this year playing up a year with Net Gain (who is in the UAA league). Reed Nikko is the center there, and is an interesting prospect (Maple Grove HS). IIRC most of their team are 2016's, but another '17 playing with Wright this year is Ish El-Amin (son of the UCONN great).

In HS ball, Wright's center is fellow-MU target Theo John. Their Champlin Park HS team went undefeated this past year until the championship game - losing to Apple Valley & another MU-target Tre Jones. J.T. Gibson was a quality guard for Champlin Park and moves on to play for MU-killer Omaha... so big year upcoming for Wright.

(Apple Valley / Champlin Park was the 4A - largest schools - Championship game... Sacar and DeLaSalle won the 3A ch'ip just before the AV/CP game)

Good lead guard that can dish or score. Going to be smallish, but continues to demonstrate that his skills and IQ are enough to still place him at a HM.
Thanks for ruining summer, Canada.

The University of Minnesota at Milwaukee?

I love seeing the inroads Wojo is making in an under recruited market.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

I guess as a comparison, I remembered when MU was recruiting Gardner, he was initially excited about his recruiting trip to South Florida and that great meal at the Cheesecake Factory.

Must have been Maymon, Doc.

Not as good a story as Lloyd Moore opting to go to an all you can eat buffet with Majerus and then when he gets on campus in the fall everyone is surprised that losing weight isn't really his thing.

Good showing from McKinley Wright in Dallas this weekend. He also picked up an offer from the Gophers.

His team - D1 Minnesota 17U - includes others with MU interest, including Jericho Sims (2017) Gonar Mar (2017) and *** Matthew Hurt *** (2019).

Advanced Statistics from their 3-1 performance at the first adidas Guantlet session are up at LNH.

I like Wright a lot too. Not sure if we'll need another point next year but he's a good player.

I agree with this analysis.
Winning is overrated. The only time it is really important is in surgery and war.

O yeah he's by no means bad. But the few times I've watched the two I've been far more impressed by John. In one of the games Wright was actually really poor.

Then considering we badly need forwards and have Carter and Howard for 2/3 years I definitely prefer its Theo we snag.
