Yeah, let's compare him to a top 5 shooter in the entire world. Way to much obsession on recruiting, you'd think people would get tired of it based on Marquette's recent history. Where someone is ranked means very little outside of the top 40..it's a fact proven by Henry Sugar. Many on this board think Traci Carter is the next great MU PG, he's ranked 107. Truth is 2 of these guys won't be with team in 2 seasons, probably more like 3 if Ellenson leaves early.

Wow, overreaction? DienerTime's post wasn't comparing anyone. Seemed to me he was saying that recruiting ratings are overrated because great players (like Curry) can be overlooked at this stage.

While recruiting rankings are fun for fans' bragging rights, they always make me think back to when Jimmy Butler was considered the lesser half of a package deal with Joe Fulce.
