How did Fischer's Surgery Go?
« on: April 19, 2015, 03:21:24 PM »
A month ago it was revealed that Luke would go do a undisclosed surgery on his shoulder in the near future. But we never got an update after? The initial press releases said that a lot more about the recoverey/surgery would be know after. Anyone know anything?

If you go about a dozen posts down, Big Daddy 84 had an update on the program.

Regarding Fischer: 8) LF shoulder is coming along well and rehab is ongoing, was told it feels more "solid" now than it has since first injury.

I haven't seen any official news though.

You didn't hear?  Bert had chit holes cut into the practice shorts so players could just drop a deuce whenever they needed.  The managers clean it up, ai'na?

I saw him working out at the Al a while back .  He had significant surgery to repair the labrum. My sense is that they are trying to make sure the rest of his body does not atrophy while the the shoulder is setting. Has to regain range of motion and then strength in the shoulder.  He timed it right. He can properly heal and rehab and then have a couple of months to work his way into basketball shape. He should be ready to go by the time the season starts. This is a very good development for the team.
