From day one we have heard that Wojo blew people away with his interview and in particular his plan and vision for the program.  He continues to do so in every phase of running the program.  He sells the vision to the kids and they are buying it, and should be.  I can't wait to see where this program heads with Wojo's kids in it.

Well said---Wojo is playing with guys that he never would have gone after. Can't wait til he has all of his own guys.

Lost his first recruit. The transfer from California that left to go back west. So he has lost two recruits he actually signed.

Am Disappointed that we lossed Stone. He could have stepped right in as a starting center with his defense.  The offense would
have come. Also Pritzl would have made a nice addition. One player that really hurt us was Kevon Looney. Think he will stick
around another year at UCLA. So maybe the cold and the campus being old hurt us. Also Midwest living. Think about it.

Most top recruits come from the East and most like the warm weather campuses. We have no warm weather. In Al's years
of coaching we had most of the top talent in New York and Chicago sewed up. Times have changed. To many good teams
where the top talent is. Al was a dynamic person and recruiter.

Negative on Looney. He gone after this season. Bet your ever lovin' last cent on it, Bro.

If you get every player you're interested in enough to offer, you're not targeting enough guys.

"Loss" isn't an appropriate term in a lot of recruitments.
Thanks for ruining summer, Canada.

Depends on what you call a loss.

We were in on Bryant Crawford and he ended up a Demon Deacon

We were in on Jimmie Whitt and he ended up a Razorback

We were in on Levan Alston and he ended up an Owl

We were in on Dwayne Bacon and he ended up a Seminole

We were in on Brevin Pritzl and he ended up a Badger

We were in on Kerwin Roach and he ended up a Longhorn

We were in on Matt McQuaid and he ended up a Mustang and then decommitted and became a Spartan

We were in on Aaron Falzaon and he ended up a Wildcat

We were in on Josh Sharma and ended up in Cardinal

Now Wojo was late to the party on most of these guys and the level we were in on them is a matter for debate, but at what point do we become Badger fans saying "Oh he doesn't count, Wojo cooled on him"

Did Wojo offer any of those other than Whitt? Honest question, because I do believe being selective with scholarship offers is part of his plan.

247 reported offers to Crawford, Whitt, Alston, Pritzl, Falzon, and Sharma. Now what an "offer" actually is often misinterpreted.

All of these were not Wojo offers.  Going forward it will be more clear.  I do like the selective approach to offering, however.  It shows that the coach values the offer/scholarship a lot more as opposed to just throwing them out there and see who bites.

Not quite correct. Fischer, Du. Wilson, and Cohen are guys he would go after, and they are playing. He did go after Cohen after he backed out. He also went after Carlino. So it is not accurate to say he is playing with guys he never would have gone after. At least 4 are.

Not trying to tell but how was Pritlz now considered a recruiting loss.  Wojo offered and the Pritlz committed to UW.  Marquette definitely offered Pritzl but was Wojo not the one to extend the offer?

I think that the thread is about the initial recruiting battle.  In the case of Levin, Wojo won out over some tough competition and got him on campus.  He had Nick signed to a LOI and Nick even help recruit others to MU before the difference of opinion that led to a parting of the ways.  So, no I don't think either situation counts as a recruiting loss.  More like recruiting close calls.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

There were issues with Levin not known until he got on campus... I'll leave it at that.  Not the worst thing he moved on. Wojo got him, issues came up and he moved on. Wojo is learning
